The Idiot and Lust For Life are great albums. so are Funhouse and Raw Power. you should really give The Stooges self-titled LP a try. it's like Funhouse but with more of a psychedelic under-tone to it.

yeah, that is Iggy. i'm not really into his newer stuff, though. i really love his first 2 albums. have you heard either of them?

i knew you would like Jagged! and although Hybrid is a remix album it is so much more than that, it takes on a mind of it's own. it's just like a Numan double studio album. plus there are some new songs on it.

both Tubeway Army albums are really amazing. i think Jagged is better than Sacrifice though. also, if you haven't already heard Hybrid i highly suggest you do so.

Replicas is really great and so is The Pleasure Principle. although my fave Numan album is the self-titled Tubeway Army album.

that was when his albums started going downhill. get Telekon. it's a new wave masterpiece.

it took me a while to get into it, but it's awesome when you do. i would definately get Jagged if i were you. by far the best of Numan's Gothic/Industrial albums. it's sorta like Pure and Sacrifice combined.

all his stuff from 78-84 is good. then i'd skip to 94. everything is good after that.

yeah apart from melodic death metal, folk metal is my favourite metal genre, too. Finntroll is a godd band, but there are other good ones like Korpiklaani, Tyr, Ensiferum, Wolfchant, Falkenbach and Eluveitie for example. If you don`t know the bands yet, you should really try them... you said you`re from Scotland, so i`ve got a question: Do young people still learn the bagpipes as an instrument? i`d really like to know it, cause IMO it`s a really interessting instrument... do you know the band In Extremo from germany? When you like bagpipes and other medieval instruments you should hear a song of them, although most of the texts are in german...

hey thanks for your shout. you re right I´m a big fan of Alestorm and Over The Seas is a great song of them....i was also very impressed of their new album which has been released in february or so....my favourite songs of them are as you said Over The Seas, Captain Morgan`s Revenge, Kellhauled, Set Sail And Conquer and Leviathan, but i think all the other songs are great, too. And yeah i`ve heard of this Band called Blood Stained Child, but i haven`t lsten to that much songs of them. And what belongs to In Flames, they`re are really my absolute favourite band, although I´m not hearing them so much on lastfm, because there are not so many full songs... if you hear In Flames, too, would you please tell me, what stuff you like more from In Flames. The older albums or the newer ones? i`d really like to know it from you.... greetings Jakob

Favorite Neil album. Oh wow, I don't think I could pick. I love everything from his beginnings to his end. Really, I go through phases of liking one album more than another but it flip-flops around all the time.

to tell you the truth I'm not actually a big spin doctors fan. I saw them on your page and I knew little miss can't be wrong, so I was surprised to see that they had a song with more plays than that. So I took a listen, and I realized I had already heard it. It's like "Breakfast at Tiffany's"... not a great song

Noticed you said in your about me section how post Achtung Baby U2 sucks. Well, I'd say that's mostly true, but I'd implore you to check out the even more experimental follow up to that album from 1994, called Zooropa. Brian Eno helped out with it, so it's got those Brian Eno stylistic elements paired with an album dominating bass from Adam and distorted falsetto vocals from Bono.

all the ones you mentioned are great albums, especially Murder Ballads maybe. Tupelo is great. He played it in Oslo. It's on the second album, The Firstborne Is Dead. I got into Cave when my uncle gave me No More Shall We Part for Christmas in 03 or so. Thats probably why it's my favorite ;-). You should check out Abattoir Blues/The Lyre of Orpheous from 2004. Some great songs on that one.

Hmm. If you can't get into The Queen is Dead, I would reccomend Strangeways, Here We Come. it's a lot lighter then their other releases.

Hi there, of course I know Alestorm, but the Death Metal band you mentioned hasn't reached my ears yet. Why did you ask, is Alestorm one of your faves in the metal genre?
