Yeah Finntroll is pretty bad ass. I listen to a whole lot of other stuff too but for some reason it looks like i only listen to folk metal... Not that i mind.

Are you a Newcastle fan??! That's where I've been at uni! I think Spain will grab it, though Brazil and Argentina always have to be a favorite too. I don't seem to have ny trouble posting on the board - weird! Pump it Up is a good song!

Look forward to reading it. TV sounds a beast! Suprisingly, I'm not bothered about the WC at all. England are doing nothing to get me in the mood either. Poor friendly results (I know, because they don't want to get injured ,but still!) and a squad that does nothing to make me believe we will progress beyond the quarters, so I think I may go with my second team, Italy (I'm 1/4 Italian) and whilst the logic may not be that great, I really can't stand Gerrard, Lampard and especially that gimp Terry! Thinking of adding some more Elvis Costello and Black Keys to my library - thoughts?!

Hey no worries man, haven't been on in a while either. An HDTV - nice! When I move back home I'll be getting one too. High Definition gaming yeahhhhhhhhhhhh! haha. Seen you've listened to Fyfe's album - thoughts?! I do love a bit of ZZ Top, class riffs!

A good mate of mine informed me about them when they were recording their debut and I got it as soon as it was released. It's a good album, not spectacular, but most definitely solid. You a fan? Crowded House are good. Fall At Your Feet, Weather With You and Don't Dream It's Over are probably their most well known, but also my favourites!

our compatability is now back to very high. weird! i got the first single from that album when it came out - itunes were giving it away free as the single of the week. was ok, though i'm no big guillemots fan. look forward to reading the reviw though.

oh right, i wondered when you changed it. yeah, i found at the day he died. i'm pretty unfamilar with his work, though i checked out a video or two of him on youtube. definitely had a great voice and though i didn't know him, seemed like a great guy. sad times indeed.

it's not my favorite (that shows more the strength of REM than anything else, when most fans can't come with a clear consensus), but it's a more wonderful record that I recalled when I first heard it. Absolute grower.

After listening to all of Robert Plant's albums, the only one I find myself going back to is Fate of Nations. My favourite song by him is 29 Palms. Been on repeat on my iPod all day!

I've seen John Mayall twice, a few years ago for his 70th birthday tour - the lineup that night included Mick Taylor, but only because it was a special occasion. Up until a couple of years ago he toured with a guy Buddy Whittington on guitar - who was brilliant, but he's since left and has been replaced by another bloke, who for the life of me I can't remembers name, who played last time I saw the Bluesbreakers in June 2009. John's still shit hot and knows how to please a crowd!

Hey thanks for stopping by Lewis. I see we are only a medium match, but I am seeing some great stuff in your library. Maybe we can pick up a few new artists from each other. I'm always open to trying some new stuff. You are certainly right about being eclectic looking at your library. Great variety !!! Take care my freind and stop by anytime, you are always welcome !!! Rock On !!! :)

their self-titled debut is fantastic...really great heavy, slow covers of a lot of '60s pop/rock and soul songs — they're all good, but especially "bang bang," "you keep me hanging on," and "eleanor rigby."

The Gun Club song - Fantastic! I wasn't too sure to be honest when you sent it over, what with the name being 'The Gun Club' but I think it's superb. Many thanks. Also really enjoyed the Massive Attack one although not as great I feel as their earlier stuff.

This is my Truth isn't the best agreed but some songs are fantastic like Tsunami, Born a Girl and the awesome The Everlasting (fantastic performance of it taken from Jools Holland some where on YouTube).. will have a listen to The Gun Club too tomorrow. Cheers for the recommendation!

I'd actually have to agree and say that Motorcycle Emptiness is my fav Manic's track. It's def the first song I heard by them and loved it from the start. Generation Terrorists is a great album but that song is the highlight (closely followed by Condemned to Rock n' Roll). I've not heard Lifeblood though I believe it was slated by critics but loved by fans. I think I'll have to check it out. The first side of This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours is fantastic though it does slightly trail off the second half agreed. I do think Journal is slightly overrated, there are probably only three songs on the album that I do genuinely love.

Yeah favourite album of all time! I think it's a work of genius. I definitely agree that once Richey left they weren't as powerful as they use to be but I still really like the stuff they did after he left and Everything Must Go and This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours are still great albums. Talking about Generation Terrorists, my flatmates and I just found the vinyl of that in a collection of vinyl my mate found at work which he brought back to the house so we were listening to that last night.
