Oooo. oo. oo. Have you 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover? Possibility my favouritestest song EVER. I rarely ever hear it. Hadn't heard it in years until last week. At the dentist office. --- Love I Irish Fest --- Also, of note, Sir Yoda sits upon my dash (Dashboard Deity - I contemplated Buddy Jesus and Buddha. Then decided it could be thought sacreligious if someone didn't know me.) Cheers!

interestng to visit a library set up to browse. Might find some things to copy in our own library. Folks like our library for it's warm colors, great view, coffee bar, and friendly staff. I think that goes a long way to answering the need for a bookstore feel. Again, I think it'd be fun to hear more about why that library chose to go Bookstore. My thoughts - melo

resolution of searching. What folks think they need is often not what they do need. Hi, I want a book about raising dogs? But after a decent reference interview we all discover that what they really need is a resource re: problem doggy behaviour cuz he peed in the owners shoe. The first could be found thru browsing. The second--more quickly found through a direct search. I think it'd be

Bookstore Org. I can see why folks would try it: folks are familiar with the friendly, homey feel of bookstores and the joy of browsing. It'd make the library more comfy. My concern is similar to yours. There are two types of information seekers. Bookstore org would work great for Browsers, but horribly for Searchers. While Dewey is an outdated, prejudice system, it does allow for finer

Have fun at the Police concert! In 1984? Sean (cute strawberry blonde deliquent yet brilliant boyfriend guy) gave me Synchronicity on cassette. I still have it. And then in 1987? Ken took Kathy (w/ angelic blonde hair)(translation: not me) to see Sting. They are now married. And she's so sweet, who could blame him. Police - Powerful stuff. :) Sorry - Long post - Procrastinating leads to rambling.

Well, I wasn't on-air, I was acting in a Producer role, since I was just a HS student. I can't even remember the name of the show now. That's horrible. I remember two other shows names, Joe Banks' Feed Your Head (he went on to form Alternative Press) and Mike Bogdanski's Unsafe at Any Speed

Lived in SW CLE my whole life. WBWC has been on air ever since I can remember, but since it's B-W (Berea), you may have never picked it up if you lived @ Case or east side. Tx @ only 4000 watts, maybe less back in the day...

Not sure re: new Nightwish album. I heard about them a year or so ago from a kid I work with. He's got great musical taste, so I finally tried it out. I recall you mentioning Evan. & your wife in at least one journal - It absolutely rocks - I think she'll love it. Very much like Evan. but still with different metal / operatic overtones. I should put some on now. :) Cheers!

As a response to your post in my journal, I'd say the Dream Theater albums 'Scenes From A Memory', 'Images And Words' and 'Awake' might fit your preferences quite well. You should also try PoS' 'Be' =)
