Well, new-ish. Same music, not completely broken site anymore. I've updated it to a proper content platform that both makes it easier for me to upload new music, and for listeners to more easily find and listen to the music they're interested in.

It occurs to me that I may or may not have, at some point in the past, written a scathing article taking the iTunes Music Store to task for selling music that I was never able to download (literally, the program gave me 404 errors trying to download apparently nonexistent files). I went back and forth a number of times with the store support at the time, and their eventual response was to just hand me some song credits and shrug - there was never any real solution posited, and the songs seemed lost and completely unavailable.

While it's true that the Life to a Beat radio show/webcast has been off the air for a number of years and probably isn't coming back anytime soon, the show is not in fact lost to the sands of time. While I was doing the show on broadcast radio, I meticulously recorded just about every episode that aired in the studio, first using a tape deck, and then (after the KZSC studio remodel) a CD recorder (and for the webcast, I just recorded the stream straight to disk). Thanks to Jamendo, I now have over 14000 tracks in my music library, comprising about 47 and a half days of music… quite impressive. Digital music, both in terms of purchasing and storage, has truly revolutionized my music collection.
