and so I was stocked to the Hausen und zurück. took a cab home and listened to Tina Turner singing Foreign Affairs. It felt surreal and funny.
Gals and boys lemme tell ya that it was the night on both side of cosmic avant gardening with late mr. Karlheinz Stockhausen.

actually it was 3 separate gigs by musikFabrik peforming pieces from KLANG.

gig 1: NATürLicHE DAUErN (nr 1, 4, 8, 9, 10, 13, 15, 16, 18, 20, 21, 22) most of it was utter & complete bullshit. something so painfully predictable and idiotic I almost thought I was listening to Morton Feldman. there were few decent moment but for the most of the time it was a drag, uninventif and yawnish. however it was all Stock's fault because it was played very tight, crystal clean and pianists were as focused as its possible. it was strange to see so dull music played so well. some old dude sitting in my row took a nap. lucky bastard.

gig 2: PArADiES, UrANTiA, OrvONTON. PArADiES was supercool. Stock just went full retard with electronics, sounds projections and stuff VSnares haven't even dreamed of. plus solo flute. oh, I jizzed and I squeaked in ecstasy and agony, ivory and lobotomy and it was catharsis and my ears felt hard and strong and my mind was soft and weak and open. I thought to myself "Stock is Heidegger of music. then UrANTiA came through. just more of everything. electronics, noises, minutes. sopran was there but it was a ghost. only sound not a living soul to sing with this voice. weird, long but satisfying. and finally OrvONTON with some cosmic and great Bariton Persona mixing singing, sign language, laurieandersonism-ohsupermenism and thai-chi. of course there were tons of tones flying in the air. spectro-dolby-astral-surround. my ears were full I wouldn't swallow a little tweet.

gig 3: NATürLicHE DAUErN (nr 24), FrEUDE . Dauern was - but of course - boring and well performed. Thankfully it was short and bit more interesting than previous parts of this cycle. The last piece for two harp playing singing ladies was beyond words.

I took a cab thinking how brilliant world I live in that allows me to experience all this greatness and what a good place to be it is that makes ensembles like musikFabrik possible.
