the golden section

john balance was definitely very creative musician. i think that many people who now make electronic musicowe him for experiments with samples, when this wasn't quite popular technique. he managed to shape the coil's unique style, which is the most important thing for artists who want to be recognized in the great deep sea of available sounds.

it's maybe his sickness, that helped him to write this track. the whole 'horse rotorvator' is about death, disease, faith and hallucination and makes listener (me at least) comfortably numb.
