And to coincide with Pitchfork's list, here's my top 25:

1) Yellow House
A perfect 10. Yellow House just sounds so delicate and smooth and haunting, for 'Lullabye' just blows my mind. There's so much energy in this record, you're left gasping for breath at the end.

2) Ys
She's matured and excelled in songwriting talent, and it's so appealing.

3) Gulag Orkestar
I couldn't believe this came from a 20 year old. Different, alluringly exotic and emotionally-charged. Reminds me of "In The Aeroplane Over The Sea" for some reason.

4) The Trials Of Van Occupanther
My most played, most copied, most talked about band/album. Pleasure to see live too.

5) Love
I see this record as a live Beatles concert as if they were to play their best possible set on stage at gun point. Sums up everything i love about this band.
