I think El Cielo is the best studio album overall, Same Ol' Road & Sanzen are amazing, but The Canyon Behind Her is probably my fav. Love the opening few tracks of Leitmotif - they were the hook into the band. And off TPTPTD, I really like some of the later tracks. What did you think to the Scala gig?

I'm so happy that music has got better and better. I was genuinely worried that I would never find bands I loved anymore and just got set in my old ways. But I have discovered loads and finally opened my mind to more bands and stuff now. FUCK YEAH on saying dredg! Congrats! I haven't listened to much Wilson based music recently, when I do I prefer older P tree. Signify, Up the Downstair etc...The solo stuff is alright but I haven't really 'felt' it much from them. His ego gets in the way :P Riverside, I have one album from, and it even has a cheeky Pink Floyd instrumental cover of Shine On...they sound alright but I haven't got around to picking up more of their stuff. I have SO many albums on my list right now. I have really got in to post rock and stuff. I do a 30 min commute to work now and sometimes an hour on the way back, it's perfect for when I have a new album to bum!

Regarding a favourite song, you know you can't just have one with an awesome band...so i'll say a few - Simple Boy, New Day, Set Fire to the Hive, We Are, Deadman, Roquefort, Eidolon....there are loads i love, they're great.

I erm...I've seen Karnivool live...supported by TesseracT....just throwing that out there...I have got into so many different bands and musics since we last spoke...Before it was Pink Floyd, P Tree and Tool...if you recall haha. I think I love music more now than I ever have, which I'm really pleased with. Discovered so many different bands and managed to go to a fair few gigs recently. Nov - Karnivool, Dec - Black Sabbath, Jan - Mogwai, April - Crippled Black Phoenix. Now, I do not say this lightly, you know I have seen P tree, tool, etc etc etc...Crippled Black Phoenix was probably one of the best gigs I have been to.

It`s great that you`ll see Votum live with Riverside. Harvest Moon the last Votum album was really solid! I`ve seen Riverside last year in november, but Votum have never visited Russia...

I really couldn't pick a favourite PT song either, all the ones you mention are amazing, although I have never heard Buying New Soul, there are still a few odd ep's and such like which I have to hear by them. Interesting you mention 'Normal' too, do you prefer that to 'Sentimental'? I still love 'Sentimental' but sometimes I play Normal instead of it when listening to Fear of a Blank Planet!

"I refuse to die until i've seen dredg live" ... and I see you're going to see them in April. :D Seeing them play the entirety of Catch Without Arms is too good an opportunity to turn down. Although El Cielo is probably my favorite of theirs. Did you like their last album? It grew on me.

I'm fiine, thanks :) Yees, Riverside it's a really great band. I hope to see them too sometime over here. It seems I'll never catch you with Dream Theater! I saw them "only" seven times. Gonna be amazing, for sure. I'll see Transatlantic next week for the first time! Can't wait :)

No surprise there.;-) BTW, you should really look forward to the Dream Theater gig. I saw them last Saturday and it was amazing. Great sound, great setlist (I still can't believe they finally played Space-dye vest), great light and videos. I haven't seen them that good in years.
