Depression is not just pain. A man gets depressed when he feels that his pain has no meaning. I mean, depression is a severe illness. People got cancer, lost their jobs, their dearest possession and they believe that they're depressed, but no. Depression does not come out after some fucking catastrophe, it is nourished slowly and almost unnoticeably throughout your young days. By the time you realize that you're totally fucked up, even you can't tell where the hell did the problem come from. And that makes the pain meaningless. You're lost sir.

Depressive arts, thus can make the artists feel better, since they add to their pains a little meaning. But they won't, they won't put an eternal smile on a depressed's face. Just like Prozac.
Until one's death
