I actually went and seen them the last time they were here and it was quite the experience i was by far the youngest person there by 20 years but was still an incredible concert. My favorite song by them would almost certainly be Burning For You i can never get sick of that song!

Mark, thank you for your shout. I actually had no idea that so many of my Top20 albums involve Californians so it's uncalculated if you will. I have only lived in the USA for 6 years (I'm European) but may recognize the sound from a past life... and I'm only half-kidding. ;) Coming to California for the first time was like coming home, very odd. Anyway, I do seem to enjoy this sound the most. My mission has been to go back to the late 60's and 70's to understand the Zeitgeist of my parents' younger days and I've learned a lot these past months. Are you Canadian or did you move from another place as well?

Something I found over the last couple weeks while doing some virtual crate diggin, that is my favourite recommendation at the moment, is Igor Wakhévitch. He's a French avantgarde composer who put out several records in the 70s which I love. Logos (70) Docteur Faustus (71) Hathor (73). These are almost impossible to buy but they can be found online. ;-)
