I've been a dad since 1998 and have blogged about it for almost that long. Being a parent has been a wonderful experience. It has taught me more (and not just about being a parent) than anything else I have ever done.

I've been a partner to Sage (www.quirkynomads.com) now over fifteen years. It isn't an exaggeration to say that those have been the best years of my life (with the latter eight being especially great).

We live with three cats (but have lived with as many as eight) and up until now we have lived several different lives in different places. After Paul was born we left our life in a small city (Bethlehem, PA) for a yurt in the Ozarks. A couple years after that we moved to a small Ozarks town. After that I took a couple consulting jobs that took us to Michigan, New York, and Albuquerque. Fed up with the conservative turn that things were taking in the US we left for Canada in 2004. We now happily live in a highrise in Toronto.
