oh, in fact i wanted to say the gorilla biscuits-BASSPLAYER was pretty good. but what does "good" mean. he had some remarkable basslines i wanted to say. but nevermind, you should better try some Built To Spill. great great heroes of indie music or so. and Congrats that your scrobbling works again. may i ask what's the point that you never listen to music in the morning? sleeping, working, studying?

Hm, thinking about it, is german the only language where nouns have to start with capital letters? well, correct use of capital and small letters is one of the easier things in german language. easier than this this weird subjuntivo? :p Skimming through my recent charts I recognize there's not much that might match your taste. atm I'm watching some drum videos with Zach Hill, you may know him. ;) the new album by the decemberists is also really nice. gorilla biscuits had a pretty good drummer. oh and of course the "new" AYWKUBTTOD album is grande.

I've got a few of his records myself (Tubular Bells I, II, III, 2003, Amarok, Songs of the Distant Earth, Ommadawn, Light & Shade, and Music of the Spheres) and there is something good about each of them. I dunno how many Oldfield albums are uploaded in full here, but don't be afraid to check a few out. Music of the Spheres and Tubular Bells II are my favorites.

Heh, thats OK, you gotta start somewhere. The best from the Division Bell tour is A Passage of Time. It's better than PULSE. If you like their stuff up to Atom Heart, then Interstellar Encore is really great. Supine In the Sunshine has Dark Side and an epic rendition of Obscured by Clouds/When You're In. My favorite is called Meddled (or Meddler), it's a near studio quality BBC recording with an incredible 15 minute Fat Old Sun.

What did you download? Absolutego? I'd start with the more accessible releases first I guess. Get Smile, Pink, Heavy Rocks, and Akuma No Uta. Check back when you take a listen to those and I can recommend you some more.

Yes, Music For Nurses is awesome, have you heard their other smaller EPs? There are some great b-sides. I know what you mean about growing tired of post-rock. I tend to go through phases where I listen to heaps then months where I don't. Station is good, but I still prefer Enter. The song Versus is very good off Station though. Jakob and Caspian are some of my post-rock faves. You're right, forming a band is not so easy, there are lots of things that have to go "right"... Pure Reason Revolution are good, glad I listened to them some more. Cheers!

Heya, thanks for listening to my tunes :) glad you enjoyed them! I'm happy enough writing tunes on my own for the time being though if I did find some like-minded musos I'd be happy to get a band happening. I would like to put together some "heavier" tunes but my equipment at the moment is shyte. I've actually just got my hands on Pure Reason Revolution, funny you should mention them. I'll give them another listen. They keep coming up in the similar artists on last.fm. I'll get the WYWH silhoutte for you sometime, no troubles. I was thinking of recommending Russian Circles to you but you're way head of me on that one. Caspian's new(ish) album The Four Trees is great post-rock, very much like Explosions, and also, there's a Kiwi band called Jakob you might like. They're post-rock as well, but similar to Isis. I'll send you some links in case you're interested. There's a fair chance you'll dig them based on your (awesome) charts.
