people started commenting on my other journal entry, which is pretty cool. not anyone that i know, mind you, but it's nice to know that this particular journal gets read every once in a while.

now on to business: coheed and cambria

i'm not exactly sure that it's possible for me to say enough nice things about this band. i go through these phases where all i want to do is listen to co|ca and everything else gets thrown to the wayside. i had unfairly high expectations for their newest release, and so far it's more than surpassed them. the new cd title is so long, that its deserving of its own paragraph, so here goes:

Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume One: From Fear Through The Eyes of Madness

an epic title for a CD, which is fitting. to be honest, i'm not really sure what the title is. i just keep copying and pasting it wherever needed. when i have to refer to it outside of an internet context, i'll usually just say "IV."

being the third release in the audio storyline, my favorite thing about this CD is the way that it repeats motifs that have been shown on the other releases. it really drives home the point that i'm listening to a single storyline across several CDs when i hear themes of other disks repeated and expanded.

whatever. music like this makes me feel like it's okay again to bring children into the world.
