Haha brilliant! Kate kept calling Shantel 'Borat Music' which I always denied, but looks like she was right all along! FYI The Fast Show has returned... well kind of... Fosters have funded a new series through their website/ Youtube, although each one is only about 10 min long, got most of the original cast, and channel 9 neus of course! Bono estente!

So your father makes fresh pasta!?! Wow! :D You know, fresh pasta is always better if you eat it when it's REALLY fresh -- right after making it, and I must admit that when I was a kid I used to steal raw pasta from the table while my grandma was making it :D Anyway, I think it may be less expensive to travel every day than renting a room in UK :P

That's quite the same that's happened to me when I went for La Sapienza in Rome... It's not that bad, but we don't even know what the word 'organized' mean, I think I got ulcera when I applied for Erasmus :P I know you're not racist :P I only read somewhere on that site that you must be resident in the UK to pay less than £28 and that's not my case u_u So I must get a passport before leaving - I only have the ID valid for EU, but I guess it's not enough! I remember your passion for ice-cream :D you told me about Carte D'or once! So you're saying that the English will try to exploit my Italianity? :D So, are you on facebook? If you are, add me http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001083049010

Thank you so much! :D I regretted a little not taking Cambridge as a first choice, but all my Russian teachers recommended that I chose Bham because its Slavonic studies are among the best in all Europe and it's also the center of cultural studies... And also because the teacher managing the Cambridge exchange was totally unreliable and uninformed :s I was wondering if the rail card is also for foreign people or only residents in the UK...

Cambridge? Wow! I also applied for Cambridge, but it was my second choice (I had to choose among Birmingham, Bath and Cambridge). It must be quite hard there, isn't it? Don't tell me about the weather! Here in Italy it's very hot and muggy, I can't stand it anymore and I'm looking forward to rain and clouds there :D You should tell me more about this railcard :D are you on facebook?

Haha! I forgot you were from Derbyshire, in fact I'm going to the Western Midlands, Birmingham! I'm spending nine months there for an Erasmus exchange :D I chose that one because it's supposed to be great for Russian studies--I study English and Russian--we'll see! :D Say hi to the sheeps!

Hey there! Do you remember about me? If I'm not wrong, you're from the Midlands... that's where I'm going this year!

Conóceme

I'm yet another Dave, PhD student at Cambridge University studying the not-so-simple subject of Chemical Engineering (computational fluid dynamics to be more precise!). Music-wise I've played guitar now for about 4 years, dabble in piano from time to time and played drums for yonks, since the age of 6. I'm British but spent a good deal of growing-up time in the southern French city of Nice, which I regard to be my hometown. I'll always yearn for the sound of the waves coming into the azure shores, and the fantastic restaurants and ice cream parlours of Nice!
