    Kyung-Wha Chung - Vivaldi "Four Seasons" Concerto RV 297 'Winter' In F Minor 1st Movement-Allegro Non…

    22000th track: (31 Aug 2010)
The Beatles - Being For The Benifit Of Mr. Kite!

Not my favorite from Sgt. Pepper's but listening to Beatles' funkier years is always good.

A lot of Laura Marling last couple of years - what voice, what lyrics!
    31000th track: (30 Oct 2011)
    Sting - Send Your Love

Finally got to listen to more Sting - the wait was worth, he's got some amazing stuff I had overlooked previous years.
    32000th track: (18 Dec 2011)
    Tool - 10,000 Days (Wings Part 2)

Never complete without some Tool. :) One of their most riveting tracks, too.
    33000th track: (06 Feb 2012)
Lostprophets - We Are Godzilla, You Are Japan

I'm split on this. Lostprophets had great first 2 albums, but later came some lackluster ones and then the recent developments... yuh
    34000th track: (14 Apr 2012)
Diana Krall - Little Boy (with Ray Brown)

    35000th track: (30 May 2012)
    Vladimír Šimůnek - Main Theme

Oh yes, Mafia's amazing and dramatic soundtrack - listened to it before playing the game, keep listening to it well after - a stunning masterpiece that stands on its own.
    36000th track: (14 Aug 2012)
    Jack White - Sixteen Saltines

Jack White making one of the best recent rock albums with his first solo one - the guy is a legend.

    Laura Marling - Ghosts

Again nothing like Laura's sincere songs.

    Jimi Hendrix - Crosstown Traffic

    Jimi - immortal. :)

  • Woohoo - 20.000 tracks!

    13 Jun 2010, 23:50

...and to celebrate it I'll whip up my Last.FM Milestones Generator and say a couple of words about each track that got a shiny random round number:

    Last.FM Milestonesst track: (28 Oct 2007)
Led Zeppelin - Achilles Last Stand

What better start than my favorite Led Zep track? :)

    th track: (16 Dec 2007)
    Jimi Hendrix - Fire

Move over Rover, and let Jimi take over.

    th track: (23 Feb 2008)
    Pink Floyd - Brain Damage

I can't think of anything to say except...
    I think it's marvellous! HaHaHa!

Sometimes just quoting says it better than you ever will... :)

    th track: (23 Mar 2008)
    Radiohead - There There

Again, one of my most favorite tracks, glad it showed up here.

    th track: (13 May 2008)
    Led Zeppelin - Bron-Y-Aur Stomp

Actually anything from Led Zeppelin will do :)

    th track: (12 Jun 2008)
    Sandra Nasic - Sorry

I got to listen that live, on the Guano Apes reunion in Sofia - how sweet is that? :)
We're waiting for the new album, monkeys!

    th track: (28 Jul 2008)
    Metallica - I Disapear

2 or 3 days after their concert here I was still in the mood for some Metallica, and I pretty like that track too.

    th track: (16 Sep 2008)
Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here

We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year,
Running over the same old ground.
What have you found? The same old fears.
    Wish you were here.

Pink Floyd tracks really speak/sound for themselves.

    th track: (16 Oct 2008)
Diplo - Into the Sun (feat. Martina Topley-Bird)

Don't really remember much from this, except I listened it for Martina Topley-Bird, her Sandpaper Kisses is a favorite of mine.

    th track: (30 Dec 2008)
    Nine Inch Nails - Zero-Sum

    Shame on us,
    For all we have done
    And all we ever were
    Just zeroes and ones

Hell yeah, NIN is one way to send a year away and greet the new one.

    th track: (08 Feb 2009)
The Da Capo Players - rampant

From The String Quartet Tribute to Tool

    th track: (23 Mar 2009)
Jed Whedon, Joss Whedon & Zack Whedon - Bad Horse Chorus

    Bad Horse, Bad Horse
    Bad Horse, he's bad.

If you haven't watched Dr. Horrible Sing-Along Blog, you ought to. It's track: (29 May 2009)
    Rishloo - Weeble Wobble

Again amnesia strikes, but on replaying the track I've concluded I need to listen to more Rishloo. :)

    th track: (10 Jul 2009)
The Sound of Animals Fighting - Skullflower

Not bad piece of post-rock/experimental music. Reminds me a bit of my fav Mars Volta.

    th track: (25 Aug 2009)
    Vampire Weekend - Campus

Ah, indie sensation Vampire Weekend. I'm quite warming up to them after the 2nd album.

Still, nothing as great as A-Punk :)

    th track: (16 Nov 2009)
    Quasimoto - Real Eyes

And Zero 7, I should listen to more Zero 7.

    th track: (17 Dec 2009)
Sluggy ranks - Speak To Me/Breathe (In The Air)

From Easy Star All-Stars's wonderful Dub Side of the Moon

    th track: (16 Jan 2010)
    Nine Inch Nails - Closer

You bring me closer to God

NIN's most recognizable song, I don't really have anything to add, just play it again (and again, and again)

    th track: (07 Mar 2010)
Johan Söderqvist - Virginia Wakes Up

From the score of one of my most favorite films for the last couple of years - "Let the Right One In"

I really prefer the main theme - Let the Right One In, to that though - a beautiful track.

    th track: (25 Apr 2010)
    MGMT - Flash Delirium

MGMT and their "neo-psychedelic/alternative" - you never know what to expect from those guys, except it to be something you'll love.

Flash Delirium is an awesome track too, they change the music style only a couple of times throughout it. ;)

    th track: (13 Jun 2010)
Joni Mitchell - Urge for Going

    I cheated a bit on that. :)

Saw recently I was on my 19 998th track, pondered some time what *VERY SIGNIFFICANT* I should play, and when I couldn't decide just picked something I want to listen right here, right now.

    Joni Mitchell's always nice. :]

I awoke today and found the frost perched on the town
It hovered in a frozen sky, then it gobbled summer down
When the sun turns traitor cold
and all the trees are shivering in a naked row
I get the urge for going but I never seem to go

  • First Post that tells you I now have bragging rights!

    25 Jun 2009, 16:57

    Just tried the two levels of the "How eclectic is your musical style?" test, results say I now have bragging rights! :}

Take your top 20 artists. For each of these artists, collect the top 5 similar artists. The resulting number of unique artists is your eclectic score. If the score is small (extreme = 5) your musical preferences are very limited, and if it is large (larger than 80, extreme = 100), then you have an eclectic musical preference. You can compute your own score at My eclectic score is currently

Take your top 50 artists. For each of these artists, collect the top 20 similar artists (where the artist itself is the #1 most similar). The resulting number of unique artists is your super-eclectic score. You can compute your own score at My super-eclectic score is currently

As this number is larger, you have a more eclectic musical preference. People with scores over 700 have bragging rights. People whose score is below 400 should consider more musical styles!

The most similar artists for my profile are Rage Against the Machine (10), Foo Fighters (7), System of a Down (7), A Perfect Circle (7), Deftones (6), Led Zeppelin (6), Audioslave (6), Porcupine Tree (6), The Killers (5), Cream (5)

I'm off to collect my award.

p.s. Another good tool to try is the " normalised rankings" ( which ranks your favourite artists and albums by an estimation of how long you have spent listening to them - with it finally Isis and The Mars Volta make it into my top 10, in my top 5 even. really isn't fair on artists with lengthier tracks, I wonder where Tool would be on my chart now if I didn't listen to them like a madman. :} I hope they'll offer a normalizer feature soon.
