Fantastic day from beginning at 3am to the end 24 hours later!
The support was mixed. Innerpartysystem started with a good set, but with Don't Stop been the crowds obvious favourite of their set.
Next up was The Bravery. Personally I thought they sounded awful, but I'm not a fan, and have only ever heard one or two of their songs before.
Enter Shikari followed with a set that really got the crowd going. After warming up at an intimate gig in Milton Keynes the night before they were prepared for Pro Rev and put on a great show.
N*E*R*D were next on-stage and played all the favourites. Not one of my favourite bands, but I was pleasantly surprised at how good they were live.
Pendulum were next to support and played new single Propane Nightmares and old favourites like Slam. A fantastic set, but I had to watch the second half from left of the stage while I waited to go into the LP Meet & Greet.
Jay-Z came onstage just as I was heading through the gates backstage. Managed to catch some of his set from side-stage, but my mind was on other things. Sounded good though! Headed out of the Meet & Greet just as Jay-Z was finishing up his set, and got into the crowd ready for the headliners.
Linkin Park came on-stage after a short delay, opening with oldie One Step Closer. They then proceeded to work their way through a set mixed of old favourites and tracks from their latest album Minutes to Midnight including:
From The Inside,
Somewhere I Belong,
No More Sorrow,
Points Of Authority,
Lying From You,
Hands Held High,
Leave Out All The Rest,
The Little Things Give You Away,
Breaking The Habit,
Shadow Of The Day,
In The End
before heading off stage to await their first of two encores.
Proceeding encore one, the next two tracks to be played were Pushing Me Away on the piano and What I've Done.
Proceeding the last encore of the night, and proceeding the words "Who wants to hear more LP?, Who wants to hear more Jay-Z? Who wants to hear a bit more of both", the band came back on followed by Jay-Z to play Numb/Encore and Jigga What/Faint off their collaboration album Collision Course. LP finished up the evening with Bleed It Out.
