I don't think I'll be able to catch Stirling, sadly, you going? Bet it's going to be awesome.

Hi ! Hope you're well! I write because recently launched with my band ETERNUS from Chile, our first album "Labyrinth of Reason". We play symphonic metal, with influences of power metal, etc., and with influences from bands like Nightwish, Sabaton, Epica, etc.. We differ from other bands of the genre, because we have an opera singer man, who gives a special and different sound. Hopefully you can hear us on our official Facebook (Grant us one Like please). Sample song: "Nemesis of the Gods" -! Thank you very much for reading this, we are just beginning and need maximum support, every aid helps very much. Have a nice day, greetings from Chile.

Hey, it does kinda suck that Annette is leaving. During Dark Passion Play, Tuomus was trying to write music for Tarja's vocal style, with slower and more sweeping lyrics. Annette couldn't really pull it off. In Imaginarium, he finally got down to writing songs more her style, fast paced, quick lyrics. It was definitely better than DPP. Eh, it all depends on who they get as vocalist next, and whether it takes them 5 years to release another album like last time.

Hello again! Sadly I haven't been to many shows recently, I did see Thompson the last time he came through town but that was awhile ago. How about yourself?

Their stuff can be pretty hard to find! I had to resort to videos of their concerts for a while (which are awesome). There's just something about Finland that produces the best sort of metal.

Same, I tend towards the non-vocal tracks but I really like this album. And I just found out the vocalist they're touring with is from the leningrad cowboys, so nice surprise there. Never would have suspected that...

did you end up going? apocalyptica was awesome but you were right to be cautious of the opening bands... first band was alright but the last few concerts were definitely better in their lack of other bands.

Most excellent! He was quite lively as usual, and the aladdin never fails me as a venue.

I thought it was oddly quiet this concert season. Saw Richard Thompson but that was about it. Now I'm just waiting around for someone to come to town. Hopefully soon!

I have heard of them... but not much beyond that. Excellent names both, though.

Yes. It is amazing. I've listened to the whole thing & the bonus tracks over 25 times already.

I'm waiting for the new Apo too, it's weird, they posted some hints and a couple of pics on their Royal Artist Club page a while ago about rehearsing and recording new stuff. So it's happening, but no details yet. As of now I'm completely focused on the new Rammstein material, which is gonna be insanely awesome!

I'd like to think there'd be a subversive system of transport in shady alleyways - makes things interesting.

The uses for such a transporter are too tempting to consider it for too long. Then you realize we still rely on planes and it's just depressing...

I've seen Thompson him with an entourage (which was plenty awesome), but apparently he's better on his own... Sometimes I think Europe should be a bit closer.

Work got in the way for me getting there early, alas. Lynch was the last in a series of concerts I got tickets for... it's left me wondering who is going to be the next awesome person in town.

While is a social media platform, it is not Facebook. I add/add back based on musical compatibility (i.e., you like to listen to stuff that I like to listen to as well), not to win a "who has the most friends on the internet" contest. This hasn't happened yet, but I post it nonetheless. I scan some people's profiles who have over 500 friends and have to facepalm.
That being said, I'm a pretty accepting person (with limits to the amount of exposure I have to inane stupidity) and do enjoy talking about music.
/end disclaimer

"Forgive my rudeness. I cannot abide useless people." - from the TV series Firefly

"Time flies like an arrow.
Fruit flies like a banana." - Groucho Marx

My musical tendancies are rather eclectic, but I find myself listening primarily to most forms of metal, folk and songs with geeky themes and overtones.
