aah yes..i tried isis.i think i still need time to completely digest their music.some bands usually take more than a couple of listens to sound good.im not a big fan of maiden either.bruce's vocals never caught my ears.i'd rather listen to manowar or iced earth than maiden.the only reason i listen to maiden "at times" is because of their solos.i dont know why but i never really got into kreator and maiden .i grew up listening to phil collins and kenny G.haha my first metal album was megadeth's rust in peace.they have always been my no.1 in thrash.except for one or two albums, they have produced absolutely legendary music

Had a look through your charts and I think you should check out Circus Maximus. They started out covering Symphony X and Dream Theater and to be honest they haven't shaken off that sound completely. I reckon you'll like them.

Conóceme

PT and SW. Yeah.

Though I always comes back to Porcupine Tree, my musical interests vary widely. I was a teen in the 70's, so my passions have gone through many periods over the decades. The only common factor is the drive to explore new bands and new music. And while some of the best bands are popular, and I don't fault them for that, in general I hate the mainstream.

I reject the notion that music fans in their 40's must be stuck in the past. Or that we listen to safe or pleasant music. Some of my most profound experiences have come from listening to extreme music.

And "extreme" is a moving target. Trust me.
