20 Abr 2013, 23:52This was a wonderful show. My Third time seeing Renaissance and it was the best yet despite the loss of Michael Dunford. They played "Cry To The World" and Grandine Il Vento" from the new album. They also played "The Song of Scheherazade", "Trip to The Fair", "Mother Russia", "Carpet of The Sun" and other classics. We had 6th row seats. Totally awesome! Renaissance
10 Jul 2011, 22:20Sat 9 Jul – Yes Styx
Yes sounded as good as ever. Benoit David isn't Jon Anderson but he comes close. Steve Howe was his usual incredible self. Geoff Downes did a nice job on keyboards and Alan White and Chris Squire provided their usual solid rhythm backing.
Styx was a surprise. I think they sounded better than they did in their hey day. Physically, they have aged much better than the members of Yes, who were looking really old. Styx was much more energetic in their showmanship but Yes did what they do best. Play incredibly well.
11 Jul 2010, 18:04Sat 10 Jul – Renaissance and Steve Hackett
I saw Renaissance and Steve Hackett last night in Sherbrooke, QC. What a great show. Annie Haslam sounds as good now, at 62, as she did at 25. The band was tight and looked like they were having a great time performing. I only wish Renaissance's set could have been longer. They performed classics like Prologue, Carpet of The Sun, Running Hard, Things I Don't Understand, Mother Russia, and one new song "The Mystic And The Muse".
Steve Hackett was also fabulous. I hadn't followed his solo career since Genesis but was very impressed with his solo material. From his Genesis days, he played Fly On a Windshield, Broadway Melody, Los Endos and Firth of Fifth.
Since I hadn't followed his solo career (but will now), it is hard to name the songs he played as they were all new to me but Ace of Wands was quite memorable.
I highly recommend both of these bands.
5 Jul 2010, 20:29Fri 2 Jul – Derek Trucks, Susan Tedeschi
What an Amazing show! I don't know if I have ever seen a performer can be so one with his instrument and his job as band leader at the same time.
Susan's vocals were incredible and she offered some blistering guitar solos in addition to Derek's great guitar work.
The band was tight and they were obviously having fun performing. It was a treat to be there.

Awesome Show! Jeff Beck showed a depth of sensitivity on slow expressive pieces that I wasn't aware he had. Eric Clapton just gets better and better as he gets older. I loved his acoustic set
