We were told after the first three songs (bug city, kitty, [forgot]) that if you're in a band, all you really need are those three songs to start with and you are set for the gig, you can do whatever you want after. :D

Ah, well they didn't do that here either. They did end on the same song, but switched to something like we finally made it at the end of the song. Kitty also became a Stevie Wonder song for a minute or two. :D

Well they had refrigerated cans here, and I hate beer in cans (or plastic cups) so I went with the cider that time. Love Everybody (song) was missing from the set on tuesday, I thought it was a sure thing. Fortunately they got through a lot of the great stuff from their self-titled. :D

Aah, there's EES. When did you last see PUSA? This time they were selling autographed copies of the newest one. Which was nice, but I had £4 in my pocket. Stupid cider...

Fraid I'd never been to a show of theirs before, so I can't even give you a hint as to whether it was different or not than usual. Suffice to say I enjoyed the show. Look for the EES guys hanging around their merch stand drunk after the show (hopefully).

Thing is, I had gone thru all the games in HL1 series and was anxious to see how it all turned out, and I'm aware Freeman's silence has some sort of importance, but to me it was annoying - I would have asked some questions to realize what was going on (I used wikipedia to fill in the blanks). I also hated the way it was cut short. It sounds like I hate the game but far from it, I just wanted plot.

I think it'll annihilate my graphics card, as I just meet the reqs in that area, but I couldn't resist at the price. Blog makes it sound pretty interesting, I'm excited in a FEAR -way atm. Not sure about the story, as you say, as I'm hard to satisfy. What did you think of HL2? I thought the storyline for that was underwhelming on my first playthru too.
