Big D and The Kids Table October 27, 2007

Sat 27 Oct – Big D and the Kids Table Halloween 2007

First band up was called "Everybody Out!" or something. They had the Dropkick Murphy's original drummer or something. Anyhow, they started earlier than what the ticket sad, so we missed all but two songs of theirs. It seemed like pretty energetic pop-punk.

Next band up was "The A.K.A.'s", who I thought sucked. I had heard a little bit of them before, and didn't really like it. But their live show just made them out to be that much worse. People were booing them offstage, they had absolutely no energy, and the sound of the keyboard was one of the worst sounds I've ever heard.

Whole Wheat Bread came on as the third band, and they were an awesome mix of punk/pop-punk/hip-hop. It was pretty cool. They got the whole crowd into all of their songs, and put on an overall good show.

Big D finally came on, and they played a good hour and a half long set. They had cool videos on a projector over the stage made individually for most songs. It was the third time I've seen them live, and it was still amazing. They always seem to put on a great show. They played a lot of their new stuff, and then of course LA.X, My Girlfriend's On Drugs, Checklist, and some other older ones. The crowd was going crazy. They came back on for three more songs with costumes made of glowsticks so they looked like stick figures, and rocked the house :). Pretty damn good concert. The Roxy was also well-decorated with spider webs, skeletons, and other Halloween decorations literally everywhere.
