It's very hard to ever really retain unconditional love for a band for more than a decade. Bands I loved in the 80's have mostly fallen by the wayside, and when they do reunions or "one more album" for their esteem or a royalty check - it's not always so grand.
And then there's New Order. I can never stop being love with the people that make up this band, and Joy Division, Electronic, Revenge,Monaco and The Other Two. I just can't. Their music stays relevant and irrelevant and danceable and undanceable and annoying and loving and it sums up everything and nothing. There isn't a song or live set I can't enjoy. There's no end to the amount of awful renditions or Bernard forgetting lyrics, or a sequencer dying that I can't just laugh my butt off and go "That's hilarious.".
New Order never cared, and I have always loved them for that.
