haha I totally see it! Two of Breathe Carolina's similar artists are Breathe Electric (lol naming trends!) and Cash Cash, both of which have played Ramashows. I can totally see a scenario if we were still in Ramashows arguing over whether we should get Breathe Carolina or Okkervil River for the big show, with various subjective "draw" arguments accentuated by the parallel "indie" universes. Now that I think of it, I kind of miss knowing how much (or how excitingly little) it cost to book mid-level bands. Then again, I guess I would have little use for that info in my current situation.

i'm pretty sure the band provided the audio masters for that show, i know they have provided them for at least one other show. it's fantastic quality, i think that's about as good as it gets.

yeah, for me it was watching concerts (there are a lot on youtube on austinbrock's channel) that did it, and then i got into bootlegs shortly after. between the concerts and watching their documentary that pretty much clinched it for me and i've been madly in love with them since. if you ever get the chance you should watch their 2008 in rainbows from the basement performance on youtube, that really did it for me.

if you like kid a and amnesiac the most then you'd likely enjoy the berlin and warrington bootlegs (both from 2000) which are on my awfully constructed site mentioned in my last shout. both are great in terms of sound quality as well.

that's such a hard question! it depends on the era. i could probably pick one from each tour. if you've got a favourite album i could recommend one more easily. and i've actually got a site up with around 100 bootlegs (flavors.me/polyethylene) but i don't think i could pick a single one as "the best".

they've taken over my life, haha. i've got over 100 bootlegs and i think i've got like 18 gigs worth of ONLY them in my itunes. their new album is really good. i loved it when it came out, then i didn't like it much, and now i love it. it grew on me a lot and i think i liked it better once i had really good headphones to listen to it with because it really made all the difference. you should listen to them more! admittedly, i almost never listen to the beach boys, but i heard some stuff from the smile sessions and it sounded great. i always have trouble listening to new stuff because i'm always forgetting about something i already have in my library. there's way too much good music in the world.
