• The first to 1,000 wins!

    1 Dic 2008, 6:10

Streetlight Manifesto has just devoured the competition and become my first band in over two years of membership to hit 1,000 plays. It far overshadows the next on the list.

    Life is good otherwise.
  • I'm DYING for NEW music

    12 Mar 2007, 18:01

Two of my top five artists (and these are artists centered closer to the top of my top five) are releasing new albums this year, and I'm going insane waiting for them.

Most notably is Streetlight Manifesto's new untitled album. I honestly don't want to think about how much I've listened through Kalnoky's work, and having already seen them live about 5 or 6 times, I'm going crazy for new material. New Song One and New Song Two are amazing additions to the Streetlight repertoire, and sound even better live than YouTube can do them justice.

However, I'm also highly anticipating two new albums by They Might Be Giants. I'm pretty sure only one will be a real "mainstream" TMBG (lol, like anything TMBG has ever been classified as mainstream) album, while the other will probably be a follow up to Here Come the ABCs. 2004's The Spine was not only my favorite album that year, it is probably my favorite overall cohesive album.

Damn..these albums could not come soon enough..
  • Online Chatter is a Funny Thing

    13 Abr 2006, 19:49

According to online chatter, "Weird Al" Yankovic's next album will more then likely be out on June 27th. More or less, all clues released so far have led everyone to this conclusion. If this is true, it's going to be a long two months of waiting. But then again, that's better than three-five months.

    Come on, Al, BRING IT!
  • Upcoming albums.

    10 Abr 2006, 23:54

I'm looking forward to three albums this year that I can think of off the top of my head. My most highly anticipated album will be the upcoming "Weird Al" Yankovic cd. Not much information is known yet, but it should be out sometime in the next 3-4 months I'd say. Right behind that is the (hopefully to be released) Streetlight Manifesto album, followed by the new Rooney album.

I'm sure I'll go back and edit this as I learn about other albums coming out this year.
