Part 1: Life

This is going reat for me at the moment. I got back from Sweden this morning after a 2½ hour delay on the flight apparently due to London Luton closing earlier yesterday. Anyway, to read more about that, skip to "The Universe" section of this journal. Well, as I said, I'm really happy. I discovered a few good bands since I left for Sweden, mainly Tiger lou, from a friend in Stockholm. They are absolutely amazing. She actually saw the lead singer in a museum on Monday with his family. If only I was 18, then I could have seen them play live after the Håkan Hellström concert on Friday. But being 17 I couldn't, but I don't really mind as Håkan Hellström was amazing! He knows how to put on a hell of a show. He even played my song (Mitt Gullbergs Kaj Paradis) with the full intro as part of the encore. Made my day, I can tell you. Ramlar and Känn ingen sorg för mig Göteborg were also amazing, though Ramlar sounds much better with Mando Diao's The Band. I can't believe how well those songs work together… If you don't know what I'm on about, you can find out here. I really think they should offically record and release that song! I also discovered a hidden gem on my iPod: Gackt. I found I have 2 songs which I haven't previously noticed, and what with recently deciding to start listening to j-pop and j-rock I found I really like the song Mizerable, but hate Dybbuk. I'm going to check out more soon!

Part 2: The Universe

As I'm sure you are all aware, I went for 5 days to Stockholm, Sweden. I really like it. It seems like such a nice place even though everyone I met there didn't really seem to like it. Must be a classic case of the grass is always greener on the other side! Anyway I really like Stockholm, I think it's really beautiful with all the water. My favourite place was walking along the east side of the Gamla Stan and watching all the boats go by. Also, what I saw of the countryside between Stockholm and Vasteras looked so beautiful by dusk… so wild and a really rugged beauty.

Part 3: Everything Else

• I hate Ryanair… I don't think I've ever been on an on time flight with them!
• Never eat at Vasteras airport… it serves the worst food I have ever tasted. It is vulgar!
• My copy of Ode To Ochrasy by Mando diao arrived while I was in Stockholm, but I know it's amazing from the poor quality version I downloaded. Looking foreward to listening to it with song lyrics.
• I'm annoyed 'cos the jewl case is broken.
• My PC keeps freezing and I'm really worried I'll lose a whole journal entry yet again as it has done countless times.
• I watched the Hitchhikers's Guide to the Galaxy film for the first time in sweden… I love it!
• I updated the last'fm user statistics Greasemonkey script to inclde songs per month… a month counts as 31 days!
• Swedish teen pop from shows like Idol are worse than the English bands from the same shows.
• I can't believe CDs are so expensive in Sweden!
