  • My 3000st track:

    25 Jul 2007, 20:25

    Moon River.
Just the right kind of lovely slush for a little celebration.
    *gets out the bubbly.*

    P.S.:
(Oh, and since palindromes are lovely too: How You See the World No. 2 is my 3003st.
Wonderful track. I regularly wanna die for joy at 3'32''. And they're not even milking it. Amazing.)
  • Please don't hurt me.

Most fantastically mis-scrobbled track so far:

Everything's Coming Our Way (played straight from the CD) showed up as Musical Tribute To the Oscar Mayer Weiner Wagon - Baroques.

Oh no. Now the Mistagging Police is gonna come and get me. I can hear them already. "We're gonna make you take a ride on the Oscar Mayer Weiner Wagon, b*tch!!"
Eeep. I didn't mean to. Honestly.
  • I surrender

    4 Jun 2006, 19:17

Okay, it's happened. Last night. I've come around.

After about 5 years of struggling tooth and nail against it, I had to admit that I actually do like Yellow.

Ah well. It had to happen some day.
  • The Shuffle Oracle

At the risk of being really uncool for writing one of these list/quiz entries... here's something I found at one my neighbours:

Go to the music player of your choice and put it on shuffle. Answer the following questions using the song titles as your answers. NO CHEATING!

How does the world see me?
    Answer: That Old Feeling
Comment: Well thanks, world: There'll be no new romance for me...

Will I have a happy life?
    Answer: Blood Makes Noise (live)
    Comment: Uh-oh. This bodes ill.

What do my friends really think of me?
    Answer: Teenage Angst
Comment: i.e. Grow up, honey - Yup, they might have a point there.

Do people secretly lust after me?
Answer: Bring Me The Disco King
    Comment: I guess that’s a No, then.

How can I make myself happy?
    Answer: Timber
Comment: I knew it!!! I´ve always wanted to be – a lumberjack!!

What should I do with my life?
    Answer: Naxalite
Comment: Join a Bengal revolutionary communist group? I don´t think so…

Why should life be full of so much pain?
Answer: What Have I Done to Deserve This?
Comment: Well, Dusty doesn´t have an answer either, but at least she agrees with me.

How can I maximize my pleasure during sex?
    Answer: Live And Let Die
Comment: Ouch. Stay away from me, guys.

    Will I ever have children?
Answer: Born Under a Good Sign
Comment: “I'm the first in a long line“. Guess so, then.

    Will I die happy?
    Answer: Lady (Hear Me Tonight)
Comment: Dying dancing to this? I guess there´s worse way to go, indeed.

What is some good advice for me?
Answer: The Impression That I Get
Comment: I´ll soon be “close to tragedy or close to folks who have?” Eek…

    What is happiness?
    Answer: Sing
Comment: Alright, then. *enrols for singing class*

    What is my favourite fetish?
    Answer: Firesuite
Comment: Well, I do have a pyromaniac side, but…

    How will I be remembered?
    Answer: Caught By The River
Comment: Right, no outdoor swimming for me this summer…

    Stolen from Wezzo
  • No, they are actually women???

    22 Mar 2006, 23:31

What is it with people and tagging every female artist as being female?
Take Kirsty MacColl for instance - 12 tags marking her as female/woman/girl of some kind.

You gotta be kidding!! You mean she's actually a woman?? *gasp*

Sorry, folks, it's late, and I felt like a rant. I'll probably find it completely reasonable tomorrow morning.
  • Morphine flashback

    3 Mar 2006, 13:25

How lovely to hear Candy on my neighbour radio just now. If there's one thing that helped me survive getting up at 5.30am every morning in spring 1994, it was that track. Together with Jacobi marchait, possibly.
  • New listening habits

    22 Ene 2006, 0:45

    What a nice little gadget.

Only thing is, I'm afraid I'll only listen to half the songs from now on ("ok, that's been audioscrobbled, onto the next...")

Wonder whether that'll revolutionise the music industry. Like, in the future, songs will feature two lines, then chorus, then chorus repeated, and then fade-out for the remaining song.

    Or something.
