Are there any songs that just really hit you? They just make you love music, but also hate the artist for finding the words before you did? I get frustrated at times when I hear a song that just really gets to me... the words, the tune, all of it just consumes me. It's a love hate realtionship. You can't help but absolutely love the song... even if it makes you want to slit your wrists or crawl into a little ball and stay there forever.

These are some of those songs for me...

Where Is My Love?
Brick
Bullet Proof... I Wish I Was
Cinderella
Colorblind
Cry Freedom
Does He Love You?
Excess Baggage
Cry cry
Wild Horses
Brace Yourself
Lie in the Sound
Consequence
Asleep

Hurt is a Nine Inch Nails song originally but Johnny Cash does a great interpretation of it. I like The Smiths and How Soon is Now for those moods I sometimes get into...

yeh some of the smiths stuff is great for 'down' moods...particulary 'the queen is dead' album.

i'd have included exit music (for a film) by radiohead too, but maybe you didn't want to include 2 songs by the same artist.
