FYF still needs to figure out the dust situation at teh LA State Historic park. How many years has it been already?
My friends decided they did not want to go anymore as the doors were just opening. Therefore, we left San Diego County at 6pm and did not arrive until 8pm. All in all, I got to see Guided By Voices, The Descendents and Death From Above 1979. It could have been better, but good enough…
People (including myself at a certain point), tend to overlook the fact that a festival requires some work to make enjoyable. It is a physical challenge not suitable for the pampered. Be prepared to make a day out of it. There are going to be downturns and conflicting ideas. Expect to be off schedule. We may go in as a group, but can easily be separated. The band might suck. Or, maybe you didn't even want to go in the first place.
With that said though, it can be the most fun you have this summer. However, it take some effort. Put on your happy hat and your best attitude. Be positive because being mad and negative wastes so much unrelenting space anyways. Don't somber. Remember that fun NEVER has to be bought or given. CREATE IT, and live it up! It'll work out because as I always say, "there are only bum people, not bum places."
