A whole lot mate. How are you? I know have child and house near the beach which I needed to feel alive! Been home from Georgia for a while now. Are you still in Southern Korea? Should I move there with the family?

Heh... try Maco's new (like, it dropped a few days ago) EP, Breathe. Just three songs; the third is similar stylistically to the self-titled mixtape, but the first two are more lyrical and... patient? which is weird given the EP's concept... anyway, the self-titled mixtape is Maco's only project which is that intense and hostile, his other stuff isn't as idiosyncratic... but yeah, as a punk/metal guy I really liked the anger he brought, I liked the fact that he was so pissed (and sounded genuinely so) that he couldn't even hold his flow together, that's what made the tape so damn good for me. Wale, I have a few guest verses of his on 'tapes by other dudes, but his style is smoother and more listener-/radio-friendly and that's really not what I tend to look for in rap these days. I might give him a search on datpiff or livemixtapes and try a mixtape, but then again I have a huge backlog of stuff I haven't listened to yet so I might not :P the recommendation doesn't go unappreciated tho'

In other news... recent discovery if you're still listening to rap: OG Maco. Maybe a month or two ago he put out a self-titled mixtape which might be my favorite mixtape of 2014. Shit is fucking ANGRY. Like, ridiculously so. Most of the 'tape, he sounds like he's right on the brink of exploding. Also, the main dude behind the extremely noisy black metal band Enbilulugugal runs a bandcamp 'record label' called Death Roots Syndicate that deals in death country and other forms of dark roots music; I downloaded the label's full catalog this week and am going to work my way through it because this music is becoming somewhat interesting to me too lately.

Ha, the way I listen to music means that there are very few records that I've listened to more than once in the last year. So the bands near the top of my one-year charts are there because of their tendency to release a lot of music. The fact that Gucci Mane runs away with the number one spot is a testament to just how much goddamn music he's released, because I only even 'discovered' him about seven months ago. Also, I tag all my rap mp3s with the 'featuring...' in the artist field, so with that considered he'd be way, way, way further ahead if I put the features in the song title tag instead.

"Your musical compatibility with jmverville is VERY HIGH. Music you have in common includes Young Thug, Gucci Mane, Chief Keef, Holdaar and Migos." Hahahaha... one of these things is not quite like the others...

no worries man; I'm glad you liked them... also, I keep forgetting to get back at you after not being able to answer your phonecall last week (I was at a work dinner/meeting), I apologize for that... also also, you have the most wonderfully eclectic charts these days thanks to your "Last 12 months" default setting... also also also, have you heard the newest album from Kamaedzitca? it's like that band are actively trying to make their biography touch on as many "bullshit that can't be true" moments as possible at this point

Yeah, we call it as "Nargile" in Turkish and it's popular thing in Turkey. But never tasted it before, if i'm not wrong it's more stronger than one pack of cigarettes, right?

Sorry, don't use much Lastfm. I'm living in Istanbul, and metal scene is alright in here but too bad black metal bands don't come here for gig. Only Mayhem came Izmir/Turkey in 1990, before Dead's suicide, that's all.

Here it is: Its basically just Eurodance-Versions of old Tracks, thats all. They should still be out there on YT on various channels. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z5vR6dtHbh8

Nice music tastes for a Korean, because metal music is not well known in there, i'm little bit surprised. Greetings ;)

True. I've diversified my taste in music quite early, I guess. There is just too much good music out there.

haha... well, first one or two times it happened, I didn't do it, but when it became clear it had become a regular thing I figured I should do it, since so much of my listening is done on the go... I could just switch to using my phone to listen to music, but I don't want to make the battery life even shorter, and more to the point I don't want to do all the file-organizing that it'd require to go from a 160GB iPod to a... what, 32GB? maybe less? ...phone... I already have so much music it won't all go on the iPod, I don't wish to work out how to condense it even further

Actually, my iPod plays no longer get picked up by my iTunes (and consequently my last.fm doesn't catch them either), so I keep track of them with pen and paper and then just leave them playing overnight on mute. I'm just about to go to bed now, but my last.fm will be picking up plays until about 6am.

Sure. She's a hit with the Interpunk Rock community because she has the 'look' but doesn't bring any of the negative connotations that tend to come with playing Oi! music. Her back-up band (Birds of Prey) doesn't play anything that sounds like Oi! to me personally, instead falling somewhere under the melodic punk umbrella (think Distillers). One way to summarize their sound: They covered the worst Clash song ever written (Should I Stay Or Should I Go) on one of their recent albums and somehow managed to make it sound more mundane and pointless than the original. When she isn't pretending to be in an Oi! band, she writes really shitty pop songs preaching the skinhead message of Peace, Love and Tolerance! I heard she moved to Russia to play shows for piss-weak antifa losers that'll throw their money at anything with tits and a skin 'look'.
