Jakub Kwintal - organist, cantor, teacher, doctor of musical arts. He was born in 1981 in Radom, where he graduated from Oskar Kolberg School of Music in the organ class of Robert Pluta (1989-2002) as well as Diocesan Organ College (2000-2002). He received his master degree at Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz in the organ class of Prof. Piotr Grajter and Prof. Radosław Marzec (2002-2007). He has participated in numerous courses in organ interpretation with such masters as John Butt, Julia Brown, Olivier Latry, Guy Bovet. Currently (2014), he is studying organ improvisation with Naji Hakim in Paris.

Since 2007 he is a lecturer at Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music and Artur Rubinstein State School of Music in Bydgoszcz. That same year he founded the vocal quartet Fioritura Vocal Ensemble. Since 2010 he is a teacher at the Diocesan Organ College in Bydgoszcz. From 2000 to 2008 he served as an organist at several churches in Radom and Bydgoszcz where he also conducted the choirs. In 2011 he became a cantor (organist and choirmaster) at the Lutheran Church in Bydgoszcz. Moreover, he has played in a few early music ensembles, i.a. Illo Tempore (Bydgoszcz).

Jakub Kwintal is a member of the American Guild of Organists (European Chapter) and the association The Academy of Ancient Music (Akademia Muzyki Dawnej).
He is co-founder and vice president of the Evangelical Cultural and Educational Society in Bydgoszcz. He is the organizer of various music festivals: Bydgoszcz Early Music Festival, Music in the Church of the Saviour and the Ecumenical Easter Song Festival. In 2007-2011 he was the founder and artistic director of the Radom Organ Evenings Festival.

In autumn 2011 he released his first CD recorded with oboist Piotr Lis (soloist of National Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra in Poland). The album contains works by French composers of the XX and XXI century (Alain, Messiaen, Langlais, Litaize, Hakim), including two world premiere recording (Naji Hakim – Variationen über „Wie schön leuchtet der Morgenstern“ für Oboe und Orgel and Gaston Litaize – Diptyque pour hautbois et orgue).

Jakub Kwintal is a scholarship holder of the Marshal of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Province (2014).
