<RECs go here>

Do you think my taste in music is stellar, and wanna rec. a similar band/artist to me?
Maybe you think my charts blow, and wanna enlighten my musical taste?

Or are you just a self-righteous loser who doesn't really care, and thinks everybody should listen to only what you listen to because you're just so effing awesome?

Well, right on. Recommendations are always welcome. For starters,

1. I'll give pretty much any genre a go, but I know I don't like Screamo, Metal, Hardcore stuff.

2. When you give a rec., make sure to give a brief description about the band/artist.
(i.e., why do you like them? what makes them appealing to you?)

3. Make sure to include an album for me to start with or maybe a favorite song or two.

    You're in touch and aware of the majority of the scene it seems, so I'll give you Greatness In Tragedy - solid emo rock vocals, big hooks. They only released their S/T before disbanding (now they're Mothers Anthem - www.myspace.com/mothersanthem) but check. http://www.myspace.com/greatnessintragedy "Useless", "Slideshow" & "Shoreline" are excellent. heard of The Sequence ? Moneta? Marianas Trench, Conditions or Tyler Read?

    Got here somehow through Aussie Undiscovered, and seen your posts populating a few shoutboxes I frequent... so I thought I might as well spam my band at you :) Paradian http://www.myspace.com/paradian Only have early demos atm... Finding Home is the best one. Pop-punky grungy rock ballady singalong crap. Constructive feedback is always nice :)

    If you want something similar to what you already listen to: Pistolita - Oliver Under the Moon (2006). It's pretty much what you've listened to, emo/pop rock. Cupid, Voicebox, Age, Fadawhite, Papercut and Panic are awesome tracks and just for them it's worth it check them out. Different, but not much: Silversun Pickups - Carnavas (2006), a shoegaze-like alternative rock band and an amazing album this, one of the best of it's year. I still haven't recommended to anyone that hasn't ended up loving it. Very different: M83 - Before the dawn heals us (2005). In the mood to get rid of the guitars and try some electronic shoegaze with ambient passages? Well, this will help you. I like it bcuz... it's gorgeous. Simply. Ok, I may not be and expert in music but I hope you find what you're looking for (whether my recommendations or not). Greetings, young lady ^^
