i do all the instruments, and i encourage everyone to record they're own music and distribute it for free in an effort to take down the music industry. the reality is that music is going to be distributed anywhere it wants to go. capitalists hate this system because no many can be made from a system that promotes sharing. but that's the problem itself, music should not be made for money, music should be made with the intentions of creating a masterful musical work like the musicians of every era before us have done. In essence, music is an art that should not be poisoned by the well of profiteering.
if one can create & distribute free content in a marketplace that is as good as or close to as good as paid content, then when one wants to support one's favorite artists, instead of a distribution company making the money, the artist would recieve a much high percentage of the profit. also, even in if no consumer wished to support the artist financially, money can be much easier made in the traffic, which comes in no cost to the consumer itself. that's how google make's it's money - what does it "sell"? - adspace.
i can't change the system myself. but what i can do is create my own work and promote sharing of everyone's own creative work
