It's about time you actually admitted to the fact that you own a Retro Foods Company. As for Madge, there was a great documentary about a thug called John Binden who had a dalliance with her. So good in fact if I did one of those takeover TV evenings it would be the central plank of the whole event. That is, along with a "Ripley's believe it or Not" documentary about a man who was a guinea pig for non Lethal weapons. The show kind of went along the lines of the guy moaning in total agony- "That Tazer was excrutiatingly painful, but the Pepper spray in my eyes, was hell on earth". It wasn't supposed to be funny, but it was.

That's not a member of royalty is it? Our correspondance on Tufty has brought up some interesting ads in my Google mail. They're suggesting I might be interested in "Hutches","Road Safety" and "Foot Gait Analysis".

Well you're right about the c'est la vie bit, and I have had plenty of breaks along the way too, so it's not all been shit. Like you said, the current recession, which I hope to survive jobwise, gave me a dose of nostalgia. Not a great experimenter with food or drink, though I have an intake of both on a reasonably regular basis...ok then, I admit it -every day.

Went straight from University (1991) to the dole queue. Then 18 mnths in a building society, paid to go back to college, worked in Fish and Chip Restaurant for a year (burned down), back onto dole, worked vountarily for a year. Have been in my present position for 12 years. Subsequently have realised in life timing is everything. My grandfather emigrated to America in 1927, just in time for the Great Depression.

Don't wish to intrude, but since you seem to have shared similiar age related experiences to myself I was wondering...one of the pivotal events in my life was the recession of 1991. Did that effect you in any way?

Will look at Pathe tonite. I do think we could have had something a bit more rock and roll than a squirrel. Though to be fair, I haven't been knocked down (touch wood) , so it wasn't bad. Today I can see Tufty lying lifeless at the side of the road and being taken to the nearest road kill eaterie. Must confess I was appalled when I was with my mate's 5 year old daughter and could see she hadn't a clue how to cross a road.

You get 100 out of 100 for the Tufty Club badge. Much better than Darth Vader dressed up as the Green cross Code man, don't you think? Clearly we belonged to a more innocent age/childhood. I'm sure Tufty was phased out very early in the seventies, which probably makes us the last people to encounter him/her? Did you have to learn the song? Also were your road safety lessons accompanied by Dick and Dora literacy? Also whilst we are on the subject of Primary Year One, I also remember we amused the teacher as a class by singing "Nice One Cyril". Which has to be 1971/72.

Amusingly someone removed me from their friends list recently and on another page someone else removed two of my shouts. I'm putting it down to my continual references to bodily functions and the emanations thereof. It's not the kind of thing that's worth following up, but you wonder about the mentality of such people. Just wondered had you encountered such goings on, since you have been on Last.fm for a simliar time to myself?

Just seen your shout for Katy Perry's Mannequin. Now that is a girl I like, though she does have mad eyes. And she is going Russell Brand, who claims he is the second smartest comedian in the country after Stephen Fry.
