TME alert. Have you voted for the latest TME Mixtape entries? Y'know, you don't have to have a mix entered in order to vote. As an elitist, your arrogant attitude about music is enough of a qualification. Nick's mix is We Like Minimalism and Amaka's masterful The Lottery Revisited can be viewed here. If you've already voted, why have you bothered reading this far?

Isn't cool? The Gutter Twins gig was great. Both Dulli and Lanegan were in fine form and I even saw Lanegan crack a smile here and there - unusual for him! There wasn't enough amusing Dulli banter for me, but still a rockin' show!

Hi! Yeah, I'm surprised we're only High on the taste-o-meter our music taste looks very similar. As for Neil Young I think I overdid it with his gigs, but he's my favourite and I'm afraid this will be the last time he'll play the UK. I see you're a fan of Mr Dulli too. V. cool :)

hey.. well, its a tricky question i suppose :) it all depends.. the band can be post rock or synth pop or electroclash or experimenting with noises.. Play in the summer belongs in their post rock category.. i guess they're worth checking out :)

Not at all. He is a classical pianist. Funny how that is at #1. I only have his Bach Goldberg Variations and haven't listened in months. My actual favorite artists would be Nick Cave and Gram Parsons :)

It's a fantastic comp, one of the best ever. No part 2 as far as I can tell though. I got it for Christmas just before the birth of my first child and I listened to it going back and forth to the hospital, so it's forever associated with that in my mind.

You cant go wrong with Jens Lekman, but I would start with Oh, You're so Silent Jens. The real beauties are the bootlegs, if you dig the album I can send you some.
