Think I was being pathetic below back in April - when I saw Disclosure live they were incredible. Dropped Mercy VIP, BRTHDTT (I can never get that right) among other bangers. Was a very eclectic mix. Latch is my favourite track of 2012 and I was pleased it hit the mainstream and gave them their success. Hitting any festivals this year?

Gotan Project? You classy motherfucker. Haha Last.FM seems to be a fairly dead community. Sure it was bustling back in the day. I actually downloaded the Bondax XLR8R mix at your suggestion... Summer vibes anyone? Yeah I agree. The Daft Punk album has a time and place - post-rave it does wonders but, not gonna lie, wish they had done a more electronic album. Disclosure album wasn't bad, just wish they had made it 2 years ago with their different genre of music. The Face EP was the release that made me go from "Brostep" into the whole House/Future scene.

I suck at replying :p Joy O's RA mix is HUGE! All the tracks are pretty much released now due to that Think & Change compilation... you picked it up yet? Disclosure's new track is pretty.... poppy. Saw them live and they dropped a HudMo remix which was an improvement... but waiting until their album before I judge them. They have changed a lot recently. Thoughts on Daft Punk's upcoming album? Seems to have a more disco feel... almost as if an end of night album. Should be good. Seen the new Game of Thrones ep yet?

yeah well the entire mix isn't composed of tunes you dislike, I was throwin it your way cos the mix is sprinkled with stuff you DO like.

Hey man. Love both tracks. May even like Truant more. Those trademark samples always do the trick for me. However, some people say how incoherent the songs are, thus hard to enjoy (the aforementioned especially), but I have no trouble in "gathering" those parts into a whole, it actually benefits the songs imo. Sort of feels like contrasting of bipolar emotions. And, for me, this was not unexpected or surprising. He's done that kind of thing, to a lesser extent, on Kindred EP and that release was a massive success. That's about it. Maybe the same people are just not used to Burial releasing music so frequently, therefore they become too snobby or pretentious, who knows. PS I find your library very intriguing, I am also interested in Warp and Ninja Tune labels right now, so, I would always appreciate a recommendation

Heard Dark Sky's upcoming release yet? Large. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=BOSrvc07g5w Yeah.. I don't even know what kudoro is :p Drum & Bass is actually huge in Oxford. This town is stuck in the past with all its fancy buildings. The UK techno scene is huge atm! Skream's starting producing it and there's a 15 year old producer called Happa who is incredible. AMC is where it's at! Unfortunately, the Breaking bad finale will probably be the most disappointing thing to air on TV ever. So much hype. The first episode of The Walking Dead set it up so well but it just declined... Oz is more how different personalities act when incarcerated and then the politics/cliques that are formed therein.

Sup, this is from years ago but I answered your question on Solar if you never found out what the sample was (and if you were still interested, heh)

And Joy O's RA mix was actually the first mix I properly listened to, now I rarely listen to individual tracks... all about the mixes. Tried my hand at mixing myself and I can appreciate it much more. It's the kind of thing where no one really cares how good you are at mixing unless you actually produce. When I get some spare time I might sit down with a couple of tutorial Ableton vids and give it a shot. You seem to be a big HBO fan. Ever seen Oz? Final season was a let down, but it's absolutely incredible, too. The One Pound Fish song just entered the charts here in the UK - the music industry here's in a sad state... The only people who still buy music are teenage girls.

Fuck yes, Disclosure are coming to my town. After their Boiler Room with Skream, I have no idea what kind of set they'll play. Gonna be so sick! You don't like Nova, eh? I'm not a die hard Burial fan and that track's actually my favourite of his. Gave his new stuff a listen, can appreciate it but I think I've only listened to each track twice. It's actually a press shot for Game of Thrones. Either way, he's just as slimy ;) Can I name a good artist who's hit the mainstream and stayed good? Unfortunately not. Dizzee Rascal's another example. I was big into the Dubstep scene at one point and hearing his fall from glory of Grime will always stay with me. Speaking of Britney Spears: that Dubstep track she tried to do? Hold It Against Me? Stay where you belong, PLEASE. Casually stalking your shoutbox; Four Tet's fabriclive is INCREDIBLE. Locked is still one of my favourite tracks of all time.

That Sinden & SBTRKT is really something, never heard it before.. My favourite part was that Pussy Ride track into AFX though. That was intense. Can't stop listening to Joy O's RA Podcast at the moment either. What a mix!

I don't think so. I recognise the name anyway.. Just digging into Jackmaster's Fabriclive at the moment courtesy of my older brother. I think I remember you saying you'd heard it a while ago when we were discussing Four Tet's Fabriclive.

Thanks for sharing, sounds quite tasty. I'm sure I've heard Sei A from some place or other. Will have to get involved with his stuff.

Fair. The Wire is absolutely incredible and seeing Joy O reference it would've made my day. You prefer Bondax to Disclosure?! I'm sure you're part of the minority, my friend ;) I love how they're both leading Future Garage in different directions, though, but the production on Latch is absolutely sublime. A bit too poppy (and gay) for Disclosure, but it's getting them the mainstream recognition they deserve. Good knowledge about Machinedrum! A friend actually pointed out the instrumentals cos I was (shamefully) listening to some of her tracks. Machinedrum is a fucking genius. Apparently his later stuff isn't that great but that could just be me being a hipster. Awesome charts, man. Top. Almost saw Bonobo live in London... Annoyed I missed him. His Boiler Room is delicious although his mixing isn't as good as it usually is.
