I think we might have to repeal the "not having a song" rule for this song. Don't you think?

Hi Lucy! How are you? It was a massive shame I didn't get to say hello to you at the St. V gig! x

Now you look like an attractive afro-d female named Lucy. But if you're happy with it, I'm happy with it.

Lol at our flirtatious past. WE'RE LOVERS NOW. Anyway, I think it's about time you told me what your username means/is trying to achieve? I don't get it.

I'm the only boy doing that module. I thought it would be an opportunity to be like "yknow, not all men are that bad", but no one really cared, I only made friends in it towards the end. I did think it would be more feminist, and there wasn't as much discussion as I would have hoped. But the tutor really liked me and everything we learned was memorable and interesting so it's okay. You definitely have to have a few practise duvet days, if not just for a boost to your wellbeing. Yeah, when I said I was sorry for taking over your shoutbox I didn't mean it. No regrets.

Uhhh, it's okay. My last three exams are Germany 1866-1945, British Society 1914-1989, and Early Modern Women & Gender. The first two I'm anticipating to be difficult but the last one I'll walk through. The range of questions is more narrow and the gender stuff overlaps with my other modules too. I'll be alright. There is so much love in those movies. And so many quotables. Movie duvet day is always such a victory. No shower, unhealthy food, curtains drawn. The best. Look, I've taken over your entire shoutbox. Sorry about that.

I agree, October is an age away. Aren't you waking up for work though? At least it's kind of worthwhile. I only really have revision to wake up for and it's not the most inviting prospect. I have movie duvet days a lot. But the longest stint was probably the extended Lord of the Rings trilogy. It's one of those "do it once and never again" kind of things. Maybe 10 films is ambitious, but it would be fun to see how far we could get!

Standing! Will I be seeing you there?! I think I'm just going to try and avoid any exposure to the album until it arrives. I think I'd value it even more. I haven't seen any of your films either! And the only one I've heard of is the last one. We should obviously have a movie marathon where we watch them all! Ten movies in one sitting sounds pretty manageable. I think the depressing movies just affect me more, they feel like different experiences. They drag me in, they stay with me, and they put my own life in context too. I like a lot of other movies as well, it's just that the more confronting ones become my favourites.

I just got mine and the cd bundle thing, although I don't really know how it all works. The album has leaked and basically everyone is fawning over it, I don't know if I want to download it or wait for my copy :(. It was good last night, she played loads of great songs she hasn't released, but the mood was kind of odd because it was half empty in there. The venue was laid out pretty badly too. I like… huge movies and tiny indie movies, as long as they're kind of depressing. I think the things that make you feel are the best. My favourite movies are probably, uh, Synecdoche New York, Elephant, Do the Right Thing, and Kids, or something else along those lines. I also recently saw "Wendy and Lucy" and thought it was brilliant. Or maybe it was just because I have a thing for Michelle Williams. What should I be watching? Cmon film student, enlighten me.

It's good, but I wasn't really listening properly. I'm waiting for the album to make a proper judgement. Speaking of which: http://www.hmvtickets.co/events/3359?REFID=MAMA_APOLLO tickets on sale tomorrow at 9am for Hammersmith in October! Don't worry about what I like, or you'll think I'll like. I'm not expecting you to like everything (although there'll be no reason for you not to, unless you're broken). My exam was fine. Wrote lots, finished early, minimal revision. I'm off to see Angel Deradoorian from the Dirty Projectors (red in my avatar!) right now, I'm pretty excited.

I don't know how skilled I am at it, but they sound good to me at least. And then I listen to the cd imagining I'm listening to the songs for the first time to see if they have the same impact. (I'm going to go through your library to make sure you haven't heard any of songs before, or least haven't scrobbled them.) Making the cover is part of the process too! The careers office is probably a really good idea. I just get a little anxious talking about myself and my "skills", but that's probably part of the growing up process. Did you ever play the "Civilization" games? Ohmylord I loved them so much. Pretty much the basis of my exam, Europeans doing bad things.
