Some thoughts on Our Love To Admire

I've pretty much reviewed Our Love to Admire in my own crappy way on my crappy music-ish blog. That was my first experience with it, and I have a few thoughts a few days after enjoying its goodness.

I like it a lot. It's quality Interpol, and that's all I could ask for. It hasn't quite bowled me over completely like Turn on the Bright Lights has/can, but TOTBL didn't bowl me over immediately either. Which makes me more excited.

Pioneer to the Falls....killed me. Straight up. Specifically, right at the "and here comes the fall." ...I'm playing it right now, and that part came up and I teared up again. It's an amazing opener.

I really can't get enough of that song.

Rest My Chemistry and The Heinrich Maneuver are quality, obviously.

Mammoth...I looked forward to this one immensely. On first hearing it, I preferred the live version, but it's still freaking amazing.

Who Do You Think is another favorite. The little pauses add a lot to it. I think out of the ones I hadn't heard through bootleg or Pitchfork and MySpace, this was my favorite.

I'm impressed with this album...not a bad song on it.

I love Pioneer to the Falls. Simply one of the most intense songs I've listened of Interpol ever. I liked so much the new album, although opinions are divided... Cheers!
