Hello, I stumbled over the implosive avatar and read the shout below ;) Even as a hobby artist I call it work, a loved one. No matter if it will be sold or not :) Greetings, Sue

Thank you for offering a balancing point of view. I suppose what I would disagree with in your sentiment is the equation of 'art' with 'labor'. I feel that art is to be equated with pleasure, not labor. Artists do indeed make personal sacrifices, but are these sacrifices really for anyone more than the artists themselves, and if they are, should they be? Art is not public service, so the only way it can support itself is commercially. and its the commercialization of art that is in collapse at this very moment. Our differing views could be generational. I'm younger, and I desire to make music, so that means I need a job, real labor, to afford equipment and space and time, so that I can support my desire and my pleasure. So why should I be obligated to support artists who don't want a real job like the one I work? Whose art should I really be paying for other than my own?

That's a rather tasteful avatar you have there.

Hello. :) I know. One's got to tip his hat to Lynch for making the Dale Cooper tapes available to the public. The man's being awfully generous, given his curmudgeonly ways.

I'm going to take a stab in the dark and assume that "about bloody time" refers to my less than speedy uptake of the scrobbling feature. It recommended I play Enoch's Hammer.

I repeat myself when under stress [17] I forgot to love a few tracks on that album.

I feel like the Seefeel folks have made a very brave decision not to do something trendy. The album isn't "analogue", it's not "drone", it's not "hypnagogic" or "hauntological". It's stridently digital, challenging and original. Album of the year.
