Another Year Ends But This Is NOT a “Best of 2012″ List...

Another 12 months goes by and MetalRecusants has already entered its second year of pure metal journalism without any commercial bullshit which is becoming more and more apparent in some circles. It was an amazing year for all of us. We have experienced many things which we did not imagine we could be experiencing so early with our unholy website; especially when we did not have any special relationships with “important” people in the metal circles. Apart from providing dedicated, passionate and quality music, the metal underground proved, and still proves, to be the TRUE underground when it comes to supporting and helping out each other in bad and good times. We bow down to all of you whether you are a band, a PR, a record company or an event organiser who keeps us up to date with your work. Most thanks, however, has to go to everyone who actually gives a shit about what we write or feature on the site. Thank you for reading our articles, viewing our picture galleries and for listening to the music we feature exclusively and just for you. Let 2013 roll in because we are here to stay and we are ready to kick the hell out of it with more metal and rock you could ever imagine!

If you wanna help us more why not print out our flyers and distribute them anywhere in your area? Download here: http://metalrecusants.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/streetteam.docx

By now you would think that what you will find below is another “best of 2012” list… Well, to your surprise, it is not. Do we really need another “best of 2012” list?! No…let’s not waste time on that. Instead, let’s feature some bands and their albums which we haven’t reviewed yet. These bands are all quite different but there are two features which in a way unite them and separate them from most stuff we feature on MetalRecusants.com. First of all, they are not purely “extreme” black, death or thrash metal – genres which we usually grab our hands on as fast as possible here. Secondly, they are all debut albums and thirdly… they rock! So, here we have the debuts from Chicago doom act Earthen Grave, Iowa hard rockers Superchief, Swedish occultists Year of the Goat and London rock ‘n’ rollers Zodiac N Black.
