Hottest 100 Voting 2006

4 Ene 2007, 7:36

Besides seeing the emergence of Emily Seebohm as a new swimming superstar (beating long time rival, Fiona Effbohm), 2006 was a solid year of music. Half way through 06 I tried to compile my Top 10 songs for the first six months of the year, to help me with voting for the Hottest 100 come years end. The results of that exercise can be found here -

Here's the 10 I've come up with for the entire year, in no particular order

Songs that very narrowly missed

Honourable Mentions
Sarah Blasko - absolute star, but no track grabbed me enough, I Don't Feel Like Dancin', Black Fingernails, Red Wine, White Collar Boy, Wolf & Cub, The Blues Are Still Blue, Love Train, We are your friends, I Want You So Hard (Boy's Bad News), Still Take You Home and plenty of other Arctic Monkeys, Big Hair Revolution, Call Me Anytime, Lily Allen, Slide In Next to Me, Happiness is Just a Chemical, Heart In a Cage, Heart's A Mess, Learnalilgivinanlovin, Love Like Semtex, a whole bunch of The Raconteurs' tracks, Rip It Up, Woman (Mstrkrft Remix), Lovely Shoulders, Talk (Thin White Duke Remix), When You Wasn't Famous, Semi Auto-Duo-Bio, Man With A Gun, Gone Daddy Gone, Yeah Yeah Yeah Song, Yeah Yeah Yeahs

That should just about do it

What have been your highlights of 06?

See also my mate Aidan's list here -

Still waiting on lists from jf87 and TheCorndog

With a list like that it's little wonder you're one of my top neighbours! My top neighbour is always my mate James, because we listen to a lot of the same stuff, but you're just in behind him... probably edged out by your relative lack of Dallas Crane. :P Call Me Anytime is such a top track... I really hope it does well, and hope the album is as quality.
