Ah, so that's why I thought Prove It sounded different... :-) But I really don't know why the producers of the show bothered to put a name of the song on the broadcast, when they obviously don't have a clue and just put up a random Verlaine song.. Anyhow, let's hope that Tom soon gets out of his "state of suspended animation", and releases some new material. It's been quiet for a while now.

Have you seen this? http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=2CA84609318953C1 I saw them in Norway just a week before that concert. Very nice to see again! I really like how different some of the songs sound, "Prove It" for example.

Nice to hear that you liked Built to Spill. I saw them last year performing "Perfect From Now On" and it was brilliant! I can imagine the crowd reacted to the Canada-reference! I guess it's similar to when bands come to Norway and have learnt a norwegian phrase like "How are you doing?" or something. Always a crowd-pleaser! :-) I really like the new Built to Spill-album, and right now I have to listen to it at least once a day. Some of those long guitar parts are magic, and Built to Spill is a band I hope will keep doing the same thing for years..

I am a big fan of Perfect from Now On, so it was nice to get Stop the Show in the encore, but I agree completely. I was sitting in the Green Room through the first song, because they went on Tuesday night between 10:45 - 11:00 & I figured I was going to catch the second half of the opener. The Conventional Wisdom was great and Good Ol Boredom was really familiar although I only picked up the album Tuesday. I am going to the same Devo show as you, I just haven't updated my listings. I would never have thought in a million years I would ever hear Mongoloid.

The set last night looked amazing. I saw 5 shows on their Canadian tour in fall 2007 and it was amazing. I will yell your profile name at the show tonight, maybe I will see you there.

Thanks for replying. Somebody already sent me an email & it was only a single as opposed to a pair. I am still going to the Wednesday show, but the Tuesday one unfortunately I can't make. If you have seen them already, you know how brilliant they are live. Great TO photos on flickr.

I always find Morrissey more rewarding than The Smiths, especially since all the 'indie kids' got their mainstream hands on them. The best place tro start with Morrissey is Viva Hate, do it chronologically, 1988-1991 is my favourite period. My favourite album is Kill Uncle but you're in for a treat with any album really.
