Artists/Bands I am supposed to like but don't - Thrash

This is part 2 of the series, this time it's about popular Thrash bands I can't stand much.

- Sepultura (most overrated thrash band of all time)
- Vio-Lence
- Destruction
- Evile
- Forbidden
- Voivod (admittedly I haven't tried hard enough, any album suggestions based on my charts will be really appreciated)

Forbidden is fantastic. i think you dont like the vocals. Sepultura'r first 4 album = gems same goes to Vio-Lence's first album. dont care much about Evile Voivod. Destruction had some good moments. cheers!

Okay, first up, Negatron is one of Voivod's worst albums. :) Secondly, looking at your charts, I'm still not sure you'd like them that much - they're usually very dissonant and strange, and you seem to listen to more diatonic progressive music. You might want to try Angel Rat if you like Rush though. I'll comment again to give you an overview of each album. since they change a lot each time.

War and Pain - strange dystopian thrash with a really heavy punk influence RRROOOAAARRR - thrashy chaos which most people find too chaotic Killing Technology - progressive thrash - perhaps you'd like this, actually Dimension Hatross - progressive thrash, less thrashy than KT and a lot weirder, a concept album Nothingface - progressive, a lot weirder than DH, also a concept album Angel Rat - more like progressive rock, big Rush influence, atmospheric The Outer Limits - progressive metal, the 'happiest' Voivod album, old science fiction influence (as evidenced by the name) Negatron - new singer/bassist who isn't as individual as the originals, more 'modern' sound Phobos - another concept album, almost psychedelic, heavy and intense Voivod - old singer returns, Jason Newsted on bass, sort of psychedelic/progressive hard rock, disliked by most people for no reason Katorz - the first of two albums created after the guitarist died in 2005, not amazing (but still impressive, seeing as the rest of the band had to put songs together from recordings on his computer) Infini - the better of the two posthumous albums, sounds a bit like Motorhead at times Katorz
