yes, they seem to love a good change of direction between albums, shame you're not liking the latest. enjoy the concert, the forever delayed tour was one of the best I've been to.

yeah it's great. it took me a while to get into wasp star, probably harshly in that it was never going to compare to apple venus pt.1 which is one of my favourite albums of all time. I see you're a manics fan - have you got/do you rate the new album? I didn't like the single when I heard it, but am looking forward to giving it a listen when I'm next home. and I was living in ignorance of the greatness that was bill hicks until a relative bought me the shock and awe cd last year. great stuff.

Hi, hope you don't mind random shouts, I found you via the wheel and the maypole shoutbox. I'm sure I'm the eight millionth person to say so, but I love the bill hicks clip.

It's a pretty cool project with The Beatles's samples with Wu-tang and other rapers from Wu-tang... It's a quite enjoyable album...

The new Mike Patton is 'Mondo Cane', came out in the UK on Monday. Haven't heard it but was a big fan of FNM. Thanks for the Zappa recommendations, I have Hot Rats and will check out the two you mention. Really going for the Bowie this week then? Favourite album? Mine is Low, so good!

Hello You! So glad to hear you had a great vacation, Jane's Addiction WOW how lucky are you hehe ; ) I recently read a interview on Dave Navarro, just a couple of questions he was asked to test his memory after his years of drug use ect he got a 7 outta 10.. haha not bad i have to say, but that's coming from a person with selective memory lol (or well that's the excuse i use) How've you been lately? Listening to anything new?

For me my favorite Patton project has and will always be FNM. The obvious answer is they were my first exposure to him and my only exposure to him for years. Also the fact that The Real Thing was one of the first albums I deemed perfect in my mind, hehe. So, FNM is number one, probably say it's a tie between Bungle and Tomahawk for second spot. Tomahawk really comes on slow I find. At first listen I liked maybe 5 or 6 songs of theirs, now I love pretty much all of their stuff, including the Anonoymous album. I guess it is true, the best music grows on you in time. Yes, I should check out Brian Eno, but my music phases really come on strong for about 2 weeks or so, and the Fripp & Eno phase has passed for now. Not that I wont listen to them at all, but I go through those phases where I just immerse myself (mainly) in one style of music or artist. =]

Brian Eno in your charts...I really have to check out his solo stuff. So far I'm only familiar with some of his collaborations with Harold Budd and with Robert Fripp. I love his stuff with Fripp. Patton's solo stuff is good. I'm not too fond of his adult themes album, but it's definitely not the easiest to get into. His second one is a little better, but for me, I like his soundtrack work. I'm really liking A Perfect Place, the Crank score isn't too bad either. A lot more spontaneous though, of course.

Bill Hicks is awesome, George Carlin too. I like Patton's soundtrack work, his first two solo albums are kind of iffy. But a Secret Place is really awesome. How about you??

hey thanks :) It was kinda slow, been fixing my teeth (yay!) for the past 2 weeks and was on medication for an infection, preventing me from drinking. Plus the public transports were almost non functional due to "extreme cold" so I was discouraged to go out. I did go to an orchestral game music concert on friday though which was alright, and I've been playing some music with my brother. How was yours?

Exceptionally well, actually! Went to the flea market to kill time with some friends and found a Christian Death album that had a handwritten and signed personal note by Gitane Demone, my best friend (kerboomzar on here) turned 18, and I just saw the new poster for the remake of my favorite movie, A Nightmare On Elm Street. Even if it's terrible, Freddy is my main mofo!
