although Zealand has many nice things representative of your country, but FoC just killed it :D and when i thought daughter couldnt get more better, this is crazy like it more than original http://youtu.be/T5Cp55MvX54 and i believe the album is nice under the hands like the music, but i live in the worst country in Europe, and it is hard to afford original cds, music, there are just other things that are priority, although i have few cds that i bought when i traveled like muse, portugal.the man and mars volta

Earlier in the year I went to marathon performance of Beethoven's piano sonatas. I made it from the 2nd to the 16th, but then I had to take off. I was there around 5 hours, and I think the event continued for another 8 or 9 hours after that. It was absolutely heavenly, and so I've been listening to a lot more Beethoven since then. I'd been planning on attending more classical music performance, though I haven't quite made it to any yet.

No problem man. I knew with you being a fan of Volta that you'd enjoy Arcane Roots. :>

One that reminded me of Volta in parts too was Crack the Skye by Mastodon. Although it has a lot more metal elements, there are certainly parts of the album that screamed Volta for me. The Last Baron for example. Even if it's not hugely like Volta, I'd recommend it seeing as it's one of my favourite albums ever. :P

I'll be sure to check 'em out once I'm in more of a softer mood. :) Definitely in heavy zone at the moment. :P But yeah, I've got quite a few recommendations for you similar to The Mars Volta! Have you listened to Frances the Mute by them btw? Takes a few spins to digest, but definitely worth it. Possibly my favourite album by them. Cassandra Geminni is just insanely good. If you love De-Loused, then you'll love Arcane Root's album 'Left Fire'. It's a bit more post-hardcore but definitely very similar. Even the opening two tracks remind me of Son et Lumiere and Inertiatic. Then you've got Children of Nova's EP 'The Complexity of Light' that's very similar to Volta. In fact, the vocalist is a total Cedric rip-off. :P But it's a good EP. You also couldn't go wrong with some RX Bandits. Their album '...And the Battle Begun' is really good. :) 'More Skin With Milk Mouth' by Giraffes? Giraffes! too maybe.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Always nice to share great music with others. :> If there's a specific type of band you're looking for, lemme know and I'll see if I can think of one you don't already listen to!

Why thank you. :) If you're into ambient folky music, I'd highly recommend King Creosote & Jon Hopkins' album 'Diamond Mine'. It's very short but wonderful!
