They're still kicking around, though more on the mobile side of things. Last FM has always been what's listened to at home [I've given up trying to scrobble things from my phone], and it's been a dark ambient/classical season in various incarnations.

Funny that you've been listening to Covenant, I was the other night too - bombarded Sanctuary Radio with requests.

Are you in Sweden yet? My phone is currently fucked, I have had no mobile for days. Quite nice actually.

Andrew Liles? No, it's some kind of experimental dark ambient stuff. Apparently the guy's got a respectable following and a [quite shit] webshop.

The Moon And The Nightspirit singer does guest vocals for Thy Catafalque, which is an absolutely great Hungarian band.

These bird call samples make interesting listening I'm sure.... I think you need to up your nun porn quota to balance things out.

Hi Charlie, good to hear from you. What have you been up to since last time? The new TPH is amazing and hasn't left my car stereo at all for the last month :) They are pretty much the only favourite band from the last 10 years that have not disappointed with their most recent work. Admittedly, the last couple were patchy compared to their AME days although they were still very good, and they have really bounced back with a vengeance with this most recent one. What did you think of "Heritage"? I snoozed through the whole thing every single time I tried to listen to it, it's probably more your style but you've probably also heard other people do it better. Opeth came to Edinburgh, I was off, but I just couldn't be bothered. I never thought that that day would ever come. Oh well, I'll always have the older albums.

Haha, no metal for me! There's only been a couple of albums I enjoyed this year. BTBAM, Heaven's Cry, Rhapsody, OSI... and that's pretty much it. New Kameltoe is okay however it's just rehashed material from 15 years ago with a great singer forced to clone Khan instead of being himself. There are so many gigs in Budapest but I totally lost interest in going to concerts lately so I skipped everything this year. It's gonna be my first gig free year since 2000! Have fun tonight with Niyaz, they seem to be a decent live act. I'm not much of a fan of either Wilsons (Damian, Steven) but PG... now I'd go and see him especially if he turned his setlist around and started playing new tunes! Or just did the Growing Up show again. ;) I'm not sure what Hungarian wildlife and countryside could possibly offer you but you're very welcome here if you happen to be around! I had Clive over for a visit many years ago, not sure he had a proper vacation ever since.

How about getting rid of that iCrap and using something more decent? LTR is the perfect music for long distance running and cycling, it has a good tempo and the melodies keep you there. :) What's up with you, still attending gigs?

Haha! She has her own account here (not really using it though). Mika has some quality pop tunes, reminding me of the best moments of Scissor Sisters and it makes up for their terrible new album.

The new Vader album is quite excellent. Also, At The Heart of Winter goes very well with this time of year!

Nope. I'm enjoying the warmth of my bedroom. :) I got the EP from Alx a few weeks ago and I like what she's doing on it. Pretty decent singer songwriter stuff with great singing. Looking forward to her full length. Hope you're doing fine!

Hey Charlie! Its been a while, it really has! 2003 that Bloodstock you kindly put me up for wasnt it? Still, a thanks for that! The announcement of Sabbath's reunion today has got me reminiscing of seeing them in 2001, making me feel all rather old now. Good to see you still keeping the faith with the progressive and interesting music, some things just never change huh?

Oh, and yes, I don't fancy any of the bands before the last two. I didn't even see them.

You are correct, I don't think it would have had more people in any case. Although I must say it's quite nice with a small venue and crowd, it makes it more intimate. I was highly disappointed with the sound with Arcana (which were the main reason I went to York), I really don't understand what the engineer was doing at the time. It was too loud for their system and the channels overlapped one another... It was much better for The Moon... (which were the secondary reason for coming!) I think, for whatever reason. Was a great weekend in the end; saw, at long last, one of my favourite acts since I was a child, and really fell in love with York itself!

yeah, saw the dates.. timing isn't great for me to be honest, though the manchester or birmingham or brixton show would be the best options (and doable) for me personally anyway. not had time to think about holidays lately!, so i've nothing planned so far. still have 25 days of leave left before end of year! i see that progpower has seventh wonder + sym x + redemption as the three main headliners. that's pretty decent, rest of the line-up is a bit threadbare though. you still doing the redemption show in london that same weekend?

urrggghh! The hard-drive on the laptop that holds my music collection has died, so once again I'm going to lose a load of plays.

Nothing much new to play, so relying on old favourites!
