Um, so I guess I've listened to 23,000 songs. Which, in my opinion, is quite a lot.

So I figured I'd go over my top 10 artists and tracks. I think it's a good plan.

Top 10 Artists

1. Matchbox Twenty (1519 plays)

Um, I love Rob Thomas' voice, I love the lyrics, the melodies. It's the complete package as far as I'm concerned. I was obsessed with this band like six years ago, and it faded over time, but after hearing "Unwell" on the radio a few months ago, I got back into them.

2. Boards of Canada (1302 plays)

I love this band. They were introduced to me by a friend about a week before I got this account, and I instantly started listening to them all the time. I usually listen to them when I'm doing homework or reading, but also when I'm just in need of relaxing. Which is often.

3. Evanescence (1235 plays)

I first heard Evanescence in early 2000, I think. At the time, I was really into Linkin Park, *NSYNC, and Marylin Manson. I heard about three bars of Amy Lee's voice, and was instantly in love. I got my hands on every song I could, and listened to them all the time. I didn't get overly obsessed until the release of Fallen, and the new version of "Imaginary". I consistently list them as my one of my favorite bands.

4. The National (754 plays)

Introduced to me by the same friend who brought me BoC, I just cannot get enough of this band. I am in love with the singer's voice, and the lyrics are amazing for pretty much all of their songs. They are songs you can mellow out to, relate to, or just listen to.

5. Breaking Benjamin (686 plays)

I got into Breaking Benjamin a little later than everyone else, but after one listen through of We Are Not Alone and I was in love. I got Saturate a while after, and did not like it half as much, but listen to it often anyways mostly due to lyrical content.

6. Our Lady Peace (532 plays)

I am in love with Gravity. And the singer's voice.

6. Nickelback (532 plays)

Whats-his-names voice caught my attention when I accidentally downloaded one of their songs, I downloaded the rest of the album, and was intrigued. I downloaded another one of the albums, and liked it a lot more. All The Right Reasons is one of my favorite albums. I don't know why. Many of my friends make fun of me for listening to this band.

8. Kristofer Astrom (470 plays)

I obtained a copy of Loupita by accident, listened to it without paying much attention, but the song I Am Not The Case caught my attention when I hit a rough patch, and I have listened to the artist obsessively ever since, mostly just the one album.

9. Daft Punk (464 plays)

I have listened to this band for forever and a day, and both my wedding and my funeral will have this music blasting through the speakers-- there will be much dancing and good times to be had. And what songs that do have lyrics are just as amazing as any of the lyrics sung by other bands on this list.

10. Azure Ray (454 plays)

I like the voices, the lyrics, and the music. I listen to this band when I'm relaxing. Or need some sad music to complement my mood.

Top Tracks

I guess I'll do this with a brief explaination and my favorite line.

1. Imaginary -Evanescence (81 plays)
Possibly my favorite song ever. I couldn't tell you why. I love the lyrics.

Let me stay where the wind will whisper to me and the raindrops as they're falling tell a story

2. Far Away -Nickelback (64 plays)
I listen to this song when I'm feeling lonely, which is often. I love the guitar in this song.

'cause with you, I'd withstand all of hell to hold your hand

3. Forget It -Breaking Benjamin (62 plays)
The rhythms and tides of this song suck me in, I love the lyrics, and the singer's voice especially.

Nevermind, forget it, just memories on a page inside a spiral notebook

4. Rain -Breaking Benjamin (54 plays)
I just love this song. Period.

Is it you I want? Or just the notion of a heart to wrap around so I can find my way around?

5. Crutch -matchbox twenty (53 plays)
I intially didn't like this song, but I'm strangely addicted to it now. It's very catchy.

All I'm building up, you're tearing down

5. Hello -Evanescence (53 plays)
A beautiful song in many respects, I've loved it ever since I first heard it. It strikes a chord with me even when I'm in a good mood.

Don't try to fix me, I'm not broken

7. Made of Steel -Our Lady Peace (51 plays)
My favorite song off Gravity, the lyrics are just amazing, and this song always cheers me up when I'm down. It's also a song that I feel like I could give to a lot of my friends to let them know how much I care.

You climbed up here to fall apart

7. Not Enough -Our Lady Peace (51 plays)
The emotion in this song is why I love it.

Nothing left to fear, I am always here

7. Savin' Me -Nickelback (51 plays)
Ummmmmm.... Nothing to say, just a good song.

With these broken wings I'm fallin'

10. Away -Breaking Benjamin (50 plays)
This is a good song to listen to when you need to vent. The lyrics may not match your mood exactly, but the music will.

I feel you 'cause you won't stop touching my skin

10. Somewhere Out There -Our Lady Peace (50 plays)
Another song I listen to while feeling melancholy. I enjoy it bunches. It was probably overplayed on the radio, but I wouldn't know.

I'm waiting for the sky to fall

10. Sorry -Our Lady Peace (50 plays)
This is such a good song to listen to when you're wishing someone dead.

Today is the cracks in the pavement helping us to find our way back
