Hey man, more recommendations! 1) Blood Ceremony - The Eldrich Dark - pretty interesting mix of doom and 60-70's hard rock (like hard rock Pentagram and Deep Purple) with female vocals, flute and organ. 2) Black Moth - Killing Jar - another female fronted band, this one has more stoner metal/rock in it, nothing spectacular in terms of riffing or ideas but still pretty damn catchy! 3) Orchid - The Mouths of Madness, even though I find their first album more amusing this one is still very strong release in which they actually almost stopped "copying" Black Sabbath's riffs and song structure.

Hey man, thanks for your recommendations. Was confused at first due to the fact that these bands were not listed in Metal Archives. Anyway, I remember you did not like Morbid Saint becayse of the production, try out their re-mastered release - "Thrashaholic". Oh and check out Orchid's album "Capricorn" - very good classic doom metal.

Hey man, long time no talk! Happy new year! I got a recommendation for you. Check out Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats' "Bloodlust". A British version of Freedom Hawk's "Sunlight".

Thanks man, I'll try it out! Not sure when I can make it to DC, a little busy right now. BTW, check out Struck By Lightning's "True Predation", not sure if it falls in your tastes but I found it pretty fun to listen to (sort of sludgier version of Black Breath).

I might be in the vicinity of DC on this weekend, I should have your number somewhere in my phone, so I'll let you know if I'll be around. Glad you liked SubRosa and yes, I heard Kypck - but not a big fan of them. BTW, Orange Goblin released a new album - did not have a chance to listen to it closely yet, but it's not too bad.

Everything's good. Back in NYC. Just moved to new apartment (still setting up stuff). BTW, do you want to see Overkill (DRI) in May?

Hmm, did thought that you would not like Trap Them. But anyway, I wonder if you ever listened to one of my old recommendations - Blind Dog - "The Last Adventures of Captain Dog", I just recently rediscovered them. Very good stoner album with only one downturn - it's sort of too long for this genre. Oh and BTW, did you check Freedom Hawk's newest?

Hey, did you check Dopefight's split with Dead Existance? I think their songs on it are also very good. As for Acephalix - I like some of the riffing, it pretty interesting for crust, IMHO. Glad that you like SubRosa so much, I did not check out their debut album, I wonder how it is. Vault Dweller is awesome, even though the production could use some fixing. Now you should check out Trap Them - Darker Handcraft and I will stop bothering you with my suggestions for now. I will check out Elder as soon as possible, thanks.

Hey man, I am back. I am glad you liked Vault Dweller. Can't wait until you check the rest of the recommendations. BTW, I checked out Midnight, it's very good.

Haha, I would say the same about Vastum - to me they sound more epic and bombastic '-) Well, keep on checking. Try Acephalix's "Aporia" maybe you'll find it more attractive.

If you liked Vastum - then definitely check out Acephalix's "Intemindable Night" - same members, a little bit different DM style, but I like it more. And no, I never heard of Midnight.

Still waiting for you to check out the rest, since I have more to come '-) Oh, Metallica's collaboration with Reed is super-hilarious. MA reviews are very funny. And Megadeth's new is meh.

I would not say "progressive" but different - yes. They decided to go with more modern sound and make things more complicated. I liked it better then K2B's "V".
