9 Jul 2008, 7:59I muted the last.fm player last night to watch a video - and forgot to unmute it or close it before I went to bed. Guess that will up my AEP score a bit?
27 Mar 2007, 14:56It's a shame that last.fm doesn't have a decent system for handling artists who share the same name. Discogs, for example, is very strict about naming, although you have to put up with names such as "Outrage (6)". I would have thought some technical wizadry would allow for a seamless system.
Wouldn't it be good though if last.fm and Discogs merged? Then strict mp3 tagging could be enforced, and it would allow people to slowly rename their whole music collection as they came across badly named/tagged songs.
Until then I guess all those obscure D&B artists that I find on old compilations will always show up on the last.fm player as being someone else, a new thrash metal band from Hoboken maybe, or a glam punk outfit from Slough.
23 Ago 2006, 18:23Decided to change the image in my profile to reflect the fact that I'm playing WoW much too much these days, hence the lack of activity.
I'm only on here now cos the servers are still down after the big patch :/
25 Jul 2006, 21:45the idea is to take your top 6 neighbours, list their top three artists then show whereabouts those artists are on your charts.

18 Jul 2006, 4:56This is like email spam from a girlfriend, but slightly more random...
1. Put your music player on shuffle.
2. Press forward for each question.
3. Use the song title as the answer to the question even if it doesn't make sense. NO CHEATING!

2 Mar 2006, 10:54Can't get the Player to work, and the AS plugin doesn't seem to be working for WinAmp either. Grr! I have a feeling my boss's blocked some ports on the firewall or something, although it's a pretty strict firewall anyway and it's always worked before.
Can't see any news about the player changing however, so I reckon it's gotta be something at my end.
UPDATE: the AS plugin is reporting recent tracks, so there's definitely a problem with the connection... hmmm
20 Feb 2006, 14:19Look at the album cover, it says "]EIB[" in the top left corner. "Bad Company" looks like a rock band from their artist page, and this is not rock, it's drum and bass.
18 Feb 2006, 13:42Wow. Just listened to "Takk" last night, on the way into town to see a friend, and then later while I was in bed. It's not often you hear music that is so different that it takes you somewhere that you've never been before. I'm probably a bit late in discovering them (!) but I'm so glad I have. I'd recommend this to anyone. Turn down the lights, turn up the volume, lie on the floor and bliss out.
15 Feb 2006, 15:54OMG I'm going from darkstep jungle to lounge music!
Found a rich seam of Brazilian music (gotta love the beats) and then found myself listening to lots of lounge music/acid jazz. Some favourite finds: Beady Belle and Rivera Rotation, especially Clouds Around Your Heart.
Well, I doubt they'll knock Mr James off the top spot on my charts for a while, but it makes a change :)
