I just noticed that Billie Holliday's song "Come Rain or Come shine" has the word "come" twice. That is all.

No problem, man. Keep following the blog if you're interested in that kind of music - as it seems -, there's always some good stuff.

Wasnt blown away. Might have to have another listen. these muso's are so quirky. Animal Collective? first i thought they were way to weird even for me, but they grow on you.

oh the scene over here is getting better. Australia is sofa king AWESOME that muso's cant resist us for long. By the way check this out, Devendra played some new tracks in san fran before heading to coachella this year http://stereogum.com/archives/video/new-devendra-banhart-chin-chin-muck-muck-baby-live_065631.html. I really like chin chin muck muck, it's his quirkyness coming out again circa cripple crow or oh me oh my. Nouvelle Vague as 80s hair metal band? hmmm we MAY be talking about different N.V's. It's not the band that does bossa nova style covers of like the cure and the dead kennedys and such? Camile sounds like she/they'd be hella good. I'm going to listen right now. Whaddya think of YYY's new album? I'm a bit divided. I'll have to use the old chestnut of liking their old stuff better than their new stuff. The guitarist from black keys has a new solo album too if you hadn't heard. I did get to see them live. they were awesome, drummer played the high hats with his shoe

Hmmm I hope your at coachella! Devendra live man. I'm def heading over next year. I love Beirut. Oh and check out Nouvelle Vague if you havent already. Daniel Johnston was a recent discovery thanks to some prophet friends of mine. Have you seen the devil and daniel johnston? so good. he is such a beautiful messed up guy. i have an organ so i hope to channel some genius. ah and your going to see grizzly bear! damn son. I wish i lived where you live just for the musical opportunity. hmm i found a cool lo-fi band called bobalouie that you might like, free downloads on last.fm. anyway keep the flow of musical information happening. this is going to read like an essay without spell check.

gah i'm so freaking illegal and poor. makes for a great combination. I kinda, um downloaded josephines album for free, which in hindsight is really dodgy and i have decided to never do it again to artists that need the financial support. david bowie doesn't need my money, but smaller acts do so yeah. Anyway, despite that I would see josephine live, so if she ever comes to Australia I will contribute thusly. I have Hazel eyes i will lead you. Which is very beautiful I suggest you listen. Hominy grits is on high rotation? (nothing really rotates in itunes, i wish I had a record player) her voice is so awesomely of kilter. Nick Cave hmm you can start anywhere with that guy. Seriously he kills it on all his albums. Track wise though check out Red right hand, Henry Lee, Stagger Lee, O'Malleys Bar, The ship song, 15 ft of pure white snow, his Loverman cover, the end, ummmm yeah go for it.

So get this: The song "Hay Tantos Muertos" on Marissa Nadler's "Ballads of Living and Dying" is from the end of a Pablo Neruda poem that, translated, reads like this: "there are so many dead, and so many dikes the red sun breached, and so many heads battering hulls and so many hands that have closed over kisses and so many things that I want to forget" You have no idea how happy I still am you played her on the way back from A Clockwork Orange (when Jasmine thought it was Newsom and yelled, "Turned that shit off!!") How's life?

Good to know I never got the chance to hate her. Thanks for doing all the work! How was Radiohead, by the way?
