Never an easy list to make, especially since it's the decade I grew up in, so a lot of the music is wrapped in nostalgia. Going in a kind of order:

10. Soundgarden - Superunknown
9. Counting Crows - August And Everything After
8. Vertical Horizon - Everything You Want
7. Counting Crows - Recovering The Satellites
6. 100 Portraits - Five Wise Virgins (Nobody has heard of them, yet this album is still fantastic)
5. Seal - Seal II
4. Radiohead - The Bends
3. Nirvana - MTV Unplugged in New York
2. Radiohead - OK Computer
1. Portishead - Roseland NYC Live

Whew...I don't even know if that's right, but at the very least, these are 10 really good albums from the 90s that you should check out, particularly Nirvana and Portishead's live albums, where they sound better live than on their albums.

I like R.E.M's albums from the 80s much more than the 90s, but that's just me.
